Yes, indian manufacturers are too good, specially tvs. My father has recently bought tvs jupiter, and it's too good. Actually i was about to buy rtr 200 abs model but because of it's unavailability had to go fot hornet. I think you should wait a little and buy rtr 160 4v with abs. And parts quality and fit and finish of tvs vehicles are so premium. I have huge respect for tvs, also i feel proud as it's an indian company. Jai hind [emoji120]

Also the exhaust note makes me so happy. Vroooom...Vrooomm. In fi version, when you redline the engine a sweet rev limiter cutoff sound is produced, that's amazing.

How much is the redline?? Is it predefined or what we set via the speedo console?? Can you get a recording of that sound??

                  I was confused between 160 4v FI and 200 4v carb. Went for the 200 4v carb.

It's ( rpm limiter) preset from company. You can only adjust rpm shift light via the console. See youtube video of 200 4v fi below

Skip to 1.29 minutes for listening rev limiter sound [emoji4]

I confused the shift light and RPM part a bit.

It sounds like the sound you get in NFSMW 2005 if you play with manual transmission and don't shift gears.

Any idea what the cutoff RPM is?? Also what happens if a carb engine (engine sound) is revved past redline??

In carburetor engine , engine sounds normal at redline. But in fi engines, exciting exhaust note is present at the redline. In fi engines power gets cut off ( fuel supply gets off)at redline to protect the engine from internal damages.

The shift light is just a visual indicator to alert you that you are supposed to upshift because you can manually set the RPM level for the shift light.

Doesnt matter whether its Carb or FI, all bikes have a rev limiter which prevents the engine from over-revving to protect itself. Gixxer's engine is limited to 10k rpm.

If you want to know what a rev-limiter is, google it.
