The bike is relatively new and might have done hardly 50 kms.. I don't abuse bikes so I haven't checked the Acceleration. I rode it sane. The RTR 180 on the other hand has very good grunt and the exhaust note makes you feel the bike is moving very fast. Even against my ZMR but my ZMR will be ahead though it doesnt make sound.

I will go for another test ride with another dealer as I wasn't really satisfied with the Test Ride

The speedo cable was unplugged. They haven’t registered the bike yet so i couldnt note what speeds i was doing.

Felt like 80-90 ish to me

Few points from my test ride:
1. Low and mid range is excellent.
2. Bike really pulls well in every gear upto 7000rpm. You can go vroooom even in 4th and 5th gear.
3. Paint and build quality is very good.
4. Ergonomics are spot on and so is the ride comfort.
5. Handling is very good i.e. best so far from hero.
6. Braking is good but not the best.
7. I feel(not 100% sure) this bike can beat almost every other bike below 180cc in 0-100 timings. (I am comparing it with bikes below 180cc just because it falls in same price bracket.)
8. Bike is actually quite powerful as it touched 89-90 kmph is 3rd gear. If hero had sacrificed some of its mid range grunt then this bike could have touched 120 kmph easily but sad part is it can hit 115-116 max. After 110kmph progress is very slow. I was able to touch 114 as I took test ride on a toll road which is very near to hero showroom in my hometown.
9. Usable pillion which is a rare feature these days.

Few cons:
1. Top end is weak as bike feels out of power after 105 kmph which is little sad as its a 200cc motor with good power on paper but it has been tuned purely for low and mid range.
2. It is comfortable but rear suspension feels little stiff still softer than fz series.
3. Headlight design is very basic which feels out of sync as compared to overall look and feel of bike.
4. Gearing is quite short which is another reason for weak top end performance. Gearing can be altered upto some extent which will enhance its cruisablity.
5. No DC electrical set-up.



All in all it is a good and powerful commuter better than bikes like hornet, FZ and gixxer except apache 160 4v which I feel is better on engine front despitre being a 160cc motor. 160 4v revs upto 10k rpm easily which results in better top speed.

That's not a problem bro, buy auxiliary lights and connect your headlight dc after completing all the free servicing. Its a very good bike with abs, remember electricals can be changed but the heart ( engine) can't. No need to buy 150cc bike when you're getting 200cc with abs at the same price point, also mileage of rtr is really poor.

Actually the design of this bike is unattractive+ weak brand image of hero+ unavailability in some areas etc. Otherwise the engine has good pickup but less topspeed.

It can easily cruise at 90-95kmph all day long which is good enough for our road conditions. I am sure 0-100 timing will be better than every other 150-160cc bikes.

Yes that's what most riders need quick 0 to 100 and i am more than happy [emoji4]
