This thread is dead and there's no ownership thread till now?
Xtreme 200 deliveries have now started pan India and I was hoping they'll get some customers back from TVS, Bajaj, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki

Since the thread is dead, I'll add my view of the Xtreme 200.
It definitely is another fighter in 150-160cc segment.
The ride or the feel doesn't feel any different than the regular 150cc bike. All that power and torque vanishes astride the bike. I felt P180 to be better than Xtreme 200 in feels.

                  Re: Hero Xtreme 200R: A Hero's arrival

I had a test ride of the bike and the bike feels great to ride. A perfect ride for city.

Though it is a 200cc, it doesnt feel like one. Yes, it looks great and big but the power output feels well, a little to less to my taste. Of course it could have been because i did a test ride after riding my Ninja 250. But then, it has very good low and mid range torque. Vibrations are close to nil and the exhaust note sounds beautifully put just like it’s siblings. Smooth yet bassy.

The brakes are much efficient as I expected. They were too spongy and ABS? I wasnt happy with it either. I could stop better Without ABS but then, what can I expect from a small bike.

The headlight resembles that of a glamour and Hunk put together with a taste of Xtreme sports. The tail cowl looks beautiful but that exhaust extension to my eyes was sore looking. Could have been better and some people actually liked the extension. Paint quality shouts premium. Ergonomics are great. Seats felt soft after riding my Ninja 250. Rear Suspension felt hard but the guys say it is in hard setup at the moment. The front suspension was great like in any other Hero bikes.

I felt at around 7k rpm, the bike felt stressed out and run out of breathe. Maybe because it is a new bike. They had unplugged the speedometer cable. I couldnt notice the speed i was riding at 7k rpm. Could thag be a reason why i felt ABS sucked? I assume only after the bike displays a speed north of 10 kmph, the abs turns on. This is the case in Versys 650 but not sure about xtreme 200.

Again, this bike isnt a competitor to other 200cc bikes but a competitor to sub 200cc down til 150cc and it will not have a very good top end so people stop comparing it with other 200cc bikes. This feels commuterish.

It is a treat for those who are looking for an upgrade from 100 -125 cc to 150-180cc segment.

A well put together package at a very good price point.

It can run great and smooth upto 7k rpm and maybe after few services, the smoothness could get better and maybe the cruising ability will also improve. But if it is going to stay this way, then 7k rpm is the sweet spot. Maybe some 80-90 kmph will be the speed at that rpm

                    Re: Hero Xtreme 200R: A Hero's arrival

did test ride yesterday and the impression are as follows
very less pick (or i felt so or i am not the right person to judge it since i was comparing it my three bikes pulsar 220f, apache180 and dominar 400)
usable torque is very good for city even better than pulsar 220
                    zero vibration
brakes are good ,however ABS did not kick in even during hard braking nor the wheel locked up so it may have kicked in without me noticing it as i was expecting dominar like behavior from it.
                    very light weight
but the most important part is that it did not feel like i was riding it for the first time every thing was felt so natural as if i have been riding it for long time.
it impressed me so much that
my mind it telling me to sell the pulsar 220 and buy it

The bike is relatively new and might have done hardly 50 kms.. I don't abuse bikes so I haven't checked the Acceleration. I rode it sane. The RTR 180 on the other hand has very good grunt and the exhaust note makes you feel the bike is moving very fast. Even against my ZMR but my ZMR will be ahead though it doesnt make sound.

I will go for another test ride with another dealer as I wasn't really satisfied with the Test Ride

I know you didn't quote me but yeah, my friend has an RTR so I thought it is worth replying..

                          • Re: Hero Xtreme 200R: A Hero's arrival

Few points from my test ride:
                            1. Low and mid range is excellent.
                            2. Bike really pulls well in every gear upto 7000rpm. You can go vroooom even in 4th and 5th gear.
                            3. Paint and build quality is very good.
                            4. Ergonomics are spot on and so is the ride comfort.
                            5. Handling is very good i.e. best so far from hero.
                            6. Braking is good but not the best.
                            7. I feel(not 100% sure) this bike can beat almost every other bike below 180cc in 0-100 timings. (I am comparing it with bikes below 180cc just because it falls in same price bracket.)
                            8. Bike is actually quite powerful as it touched 89-90 kmph is 3rd gear. If hero had sacrificed some of its mid range grunt then this bike could have touched 120 kmph easily but sad part is it can hit 115-116 max. After 110kmph progress is very slow. I was able to touch 114 as I took test ride on a toll road which is very near to hero showroom in my hometown.
                            9. Usable pillion which is a rare feature these days.

                            Few cons:
                            1. Top end is weak as bike feels out of power after 105 kmph which is little sad as its a 200cc motor with good power on paper but it has been tuned purely for low and mid range.
                            2. It is comfortable but rear suspension feels little stiff still softer than fz series.
                            3. Headlight design is very basic which feels out of sync as compared to overall look and feel of bike.
                            4. Gearing is quite short which is another reason for weak top end performance. Gearing can be altered upto some extent which will enhance its cruisablity.
                            5. No DC electrical set-up.

All in all it is a good and powerful commuter better than bikes like hornet, FZ and gixxer except apache 160 4v which I feel is better on engine front despitre being a 160cc motor. 160 4v revs upto 10k rpm easily which results in better top speed.
                            sigpic
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith and use up a lot of fuel....

not much difference slightly lesser than apache ,actually apache 180 vibration makes you feel that it is picking up very fast. interesting thing is that in my town every dealer has got test ride vehicle available so assuming that it is same in every city so go and test ride yourself.

Haha, i bought hornet before xtreme was launched, just wanted to know about the bike, it'll definitely kill 150 to 180cc segment bikes. Only reason for going towards 150cc bikes will be mileage, nothing else [emoji16]
