Re: Hero Xtreme 200R: A Hero's arrival
Yes, but from a common mans point of view, 18.4 bhp+ 17nm of torque = punchier engine than most of the 150cc segment air cooled bikes, but because of his videos we came to know that it's no superior , i think rtr 160 4v has better riding feel than this machine, i am disappointed, i wished that xtreme would bring back the legacy of the karizma, but i think it's targeted towards commuting rather than sports commuter motorcycle.Originally posted by Zapps View Post

Indeed it was meant for commuter segment not sporty. It has ample torque from lower rpms. I'm gonna test drive it next week, will update.Originally posted by #bpk View PostYes, but from a common mans point of view, 18.4 bhp+ 17nm of torque = punchier engine than most of the 150cc segment air cooled bikes, but because of his videos we came to know that it's no superior , i think rtr 160 4v has better riding feel than this machine, i am disappointed, i wished that xtreme would bring back the legacy of the karizma, but i think it's targeted towards commuting rather than sports commuter motorcycle.

Re: Hero Xtreme 200R: A Hero's arrival
How would you call a dead bike - dial your nearest HMC showroom and ask for Xtreme 200. [emoji28][emoji28]
I mean seriously, the thread was last active a month ago.
A three times costly Duke 390 is fast moving thread than this.
Lost opportunity by HMC or did they shoot themselves in the leg, again??Regards,

Haha, last comment was mine. Thing is I visited and then gave my number to 3-4 Hero Dealers for Xtreme 200R test ride and stuff. But, none of them bothered to call, that's from my last post, 2 posts up here.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostHow would you call a dead bike - dial your nearest HMC showroom and ask for Xtreme 200. I have to admit that the blue colour option was damn stunning, saw that at a dealer during my visit when they had just 1-2 pcs for demo.

HMC has really top quality paint job actually with really top level fit and finish.Originally posted by Zapps View PostHaha, last comment was mine. But you cannot make old things look new with new make-up.
They targeted 150-160cc segment with a bigger engine which leaves it hanging in the middle. I test rode it a month or 2 ago and didn't feel anything nice about it. It has a soul of Glamour with a heart of Xtreme.Regards,

Bro, I am sure it's fake news....Originally posted by #bpk View PostOwners already fed up with xtreme

Because, I live in Rajasthan and I just tried olx search, with 500 kms radius.
It means from New Delhi to Gujarat, only 1 guy is selling his Xtreme 200 (rest 2 are old 150's).
Screenshot is my own.
And why should people sell it? Functionally it is just fine, and design is visible before purchase, so owner saw it beforehand, right?
Always choose reliable sources for your info....

Re: Hero Xtreme 200R: A Hero's arrival
Fakes notwithstanding, the bike is a certified flop with enthusiasts for sure. Its a strictly commute only bike for the masses who like their rides boring and conventional. For those of you who remembers the 90s movies (pardon me, I realize that I am getting oldOriginally posted by #bpk View PostOh no! I thought ********** is genuine.
), just imagine the xtreme as a potbellied, middle aged Rishi Kapoor among young and charismatic Akshay Kumars and Shahrukh Khans
. Trying to look dashing and charming but failing miserably

Re: Hero Xtreme 200R: A Hero's arrival
Although Hero Motocorp is close to my heart as a brand, it feels like their R&D and design team is full of drugged up people and every person gets a quota of no. of features/designs to offer, so the end product becomes a mashup of various non-compatible features/design.
They have never listened to the target audience, never bothered to find out what is the latest tech in the two wheeler market. Today every other brand is offering wide forks, mono-shocks and wide YET lighter tyres to provide better handling and grip and Hero is still offering the old 90's fork & suspension setup. Apache 160 4v looks much more upto date in terms of specs and design.
I was looking forward to sell off my cb unicorn 160 (dec 2017) and buy the xtreme 200r, now I won't do it and wait for a worthy motorcycle to upgrade.
