Please remember that even though this is not street legal the legions will still go ahead and buy these things. It's just brilliant money making business for Yamaha. But yea, it definitely is worth a little evil laughter about those that fall for it.Originally posted by Joel View PostOver 17K for an exhaust which will give hardly 1bhp on the dyno? Terrific!
As an aside, I think one of the things that is really lacking is stuff like fully programmable ECUs and related equipment. Too bad, if you ask me. I'm sure some people could do some real mean upgrades with that.

Lol! Since warranty is anyways going kaput, the 165cc barrel kit seems a much better option, not to mention by far more reasonable too.Originally posted by Joel View PostOver 17K for an exhaust which will give hardly 1bhp on the dyno? Terrific!
I just wanna know about the power figures of the R15 which has only the 165cc kit with a stock cam :PSunny.

Even with just the kit on stock cams and head it runs great! Similar to zma on the low revs, plenty of torque. Stronger low and Mid Range. Pulls harder low down and the difference easily noticeable. Fun to ride over stock bike. Rode one over a week agoOriginally posted by digislayer View PostI just wanna know about the power figures of the R15 which has only the 165cc kit with a stock cam :P
. Stock is sluggish comparatively. This set up feels like a complete bike. But the one with the cams and the works is wayy more fun

Hi there. I read the october issue of bike india. The exhaust made by Mr Aspi and his brother is really amazing. Since you guys have tested it how do you compare it to the Yamaha's daytona exhaust ? Since i was looking forward installing the racekit by yamaha but had issues regarding it track use only status. Now since Aspi sir's exhaust is not as loud as the daytona one's. What do you suggest? And whats the cost? Please help me out.

Hello, JoelOriginally posted by Joel View Post^piston speed is applicable for any piston driven engine in the world. How does it not matter to an Indian bike?
Who will not rev an engine past 11k, when its allowing the rider to taste 12-13k?
24ms is way too high for a street reliable engine. Lets not about about a busa and compare with an R15. Thats something else. I dont know where you read that and your internet gyaan is more than a motoGP engineer anyways. So I guess we have to look upto you for more ideas
A higher piston speed on an engine like the R15 with a puny 14mm wrist pin etc is a little bit of a suicide mission. No wonder Yamaha is not giving warranty with the kit. The secret of longetivity of any long stroke engine is by keeping the revs low. You cant expect a karizma to do 12000rpm and yet be street reliable. Manufacturers are very smart and they know what their configuration is capable of.
There will be no gain in peak power by simply bumping the ignition cut-off. Since Yamaha has shoved a cam and they have a slightly advanced ECU and a freeflow, peak power should more or less be around 9.5k.
im confusion because you say all motor 11k no more 12k 13k???
a yzf r6 2007 just star red line at 16.5k and red line end at 18k.
i dont understand that part about all motor speed 11k
can you explain me more please?
