Man, chill! Told you I was just pulling your leg there..did I say anywhere that I'm going for the race kit? :P And yeah, we Indians definitely know the difference between manufacturer quoted figures and dyno figures...considering the Pulsar series especially! This's the reason why I was waiting(and still am) for the dyno figures yet to come from you :P

My more important point was to know if your current cam is milder than the daytona's or if it's the other way round. And you already have the cam at home? Damn, you're fast both on the track and out of the track too! Since you say you're running a cam with highest lift here, how is it doing? How's the idle and low RPM response?

And, even if we suppose the R15 can take it at 25m/s, do you think the Mach Index would allow it to run optimally?

Do you know who ever did the first dyno report on xbhp or rather on Indian forums? It was Enginehacker(venu) and me. The first dyno result was done by us back in 2006 of a stock Fiero/Fiero F2 and my Fiero 200. Nobody ever know what was a claimed value and true horse power. So when you say, WE Indians know to distinguish the figures, then I must say these Indians were born untill recently only after our trail. 3 yrs ago again I did a p180 dyno and people were arguing why the claimed power was so high and what figures we got were questioned. Nobody knew what was true speeds and speedo speeds. Everybody on xbhp had 140-150kph karizmas and 140kph p180s. We were the first to trap speeds on speedgun/sigma on xbhp back then in 2005/2006. I did the highest speed on an Indian 4-stroke back in 2006 @ 136kph in 800mtrs on my Fiero 200 and later broke the 140kph barrier and clocked 144kph in dec 2007. That stands un-broken till date. Killer was again one of the first users of a Sigma digital speedo and he sure opened a lot of eyes and controversies.
Everybody here now talks like it all happened just like that and it was some sudden trend. Today everybody is a gyaani and self claimed tuner. I hear people talking to me offline(when they dont know who I am) from extracts that I have posted here on xbhp and proving me wrong. ofcourse they act weird when they realise they are talking to me .

The race kitted bike's camshaft is milder than what I have on my R15 and my R15 does not idle like a normal bike. It idles very low and fluctuates by 200rpm. Its pretty radical and runs on manadatory race springs. You have to hold the throttle at some 5% throttle to idle.
The daytona camshaft is pretty much a standard profile abroad and that cam is lying at home since 3 weeks now. That might go into aparajith's bike soon .
I didnt know I was running a cam with higher lift than Daytona spec, untill I got the daytona cam.
Even if you take the piston speeds to 25ms, it needs to make enough power there. Its no use revving the balls off any engine, it has to make power. Lot of factors, static and dynamic has to complement the set-up. You get closer to such numbers and the black magic starts

        • I dont know anything about performance mods, But how can a free flow exhaust increase power maybe it does some good things to the top end but i saw most of the bikes with free flows emitting smoke or running sluggishly after a few months of the mod.
Never upgrade without getting your basics RIGHT.

Dude, please don't include me in the "self claimed gyaani" category! I didn't even read about your previous dyno figures till date, but I still know what true top speed is and what speedo indicated speed is, I still know what RWHP is and crank HP means, I still know what Dyno figures are what claimed figures are. And I'm used to these terminologies back since my 10th grade or earlier itself, I even knew what micron level tolerances can do when it comes to mechanical engineering and how these micron level tolerances and angles can be measured at that same time. That makes it more than 5yrs back..if you wonder how all this could happen, my dad's a Mechanical Engineer himself! He works where they manufacture turbines and a lot more

Lol, nice to see Indian Engineering outwit Daytona..congrats on your entire setup
I was asking about the charge flow and Mach Index :P

                  • ACI have given the acceleration figures for both R15 & FZ-16(perf. kit) in their latest issue

                    R15 (PERF. KIT/STOCK)
                    0-60 - 3.78sec / 5.02sec
                    0-100 - 10.67sec /14.14sec
                    0-110 - 13.67sec / 18.65sec
                    Top Speed- 135kmph(est.) / 125kmph.

                    FZ-16(PERF. KIT/STOCK)
                    0-60 - 4.74sec / 5.59sec

                          • Thats the point everyone who buys this racekit will use for the streets apart from people TN who have racetracks.

I enquired from Penace motors, indiranagar, bangalore.
For R15 the racing kit is for 68000!! I guess the upgraded R15 version with factory fitted racing kits wont be on offer in near future (or distant), because of its legality. The overall cost would be much lower, if it comes with factory fitted kits.
The parts which gets replaced will become a waste (like disk brakes, exhaust)
