All the OT posts are deleted. There were some good discussion but I guess the message reached to all the concerned parties. Some of the posts are spared which are good and which can be used for reference for us(Moderators).
fast_ferocious gets an infraction for his effort to fuel brand wars.
I guess sense will prevail and everyone will talk w.r.t the current topic at hand which is the new 220 and not any 250cc or 200cc.I guess it has been confirmed by numerous sources that the bike coming is indeed 220 and not any other iteration of Pulsar.
Developing Mono-Shock or Perimeter Frame(Yamaha call it Deltabox) is not a one day or a one month job. It takes a lot of time and I guess people at Bajaj have also realised the importance for same.If they haven't then I can't help it.Originally posted by diehard View Postlike mono shock delta frame etc etc ! u get the point and im sure for that price ! the bike will at the most have all the features of the existing 220 offcourse not the engine !
want your comments ! ?????.......

I do not know about colours, but last night, some spy pics were supposed to be released on some sites. Looks like nobody has found anything so far!

Any idea if the new P220 will come in any new colours like the Apache 180 RTR?
OT - The thread feels squeaky clean!

every company has good or bad products
even honda and even suzuki .......
although they may not be bad pieces of engineering
but compared to other products around ... they are not good
so they are a failure
so bal has not to be blamed for things
atleast they are trying their best man
i really appreciate it and support bal with full heart
atleast they are not like RE who prefer good products for foreigners and give us some damn shaky side products
it takes time to develop things on their own
all things said n done
but as someone on xbhp previously said
the consumers dont think all this crap
they want the best product
thats it .................Last edited by MG; 06-19-2009, 10:30 AM.

there need not necessarily be anything wrong with that. jeremy clarkson does not own every car he reviews. he trashes some serious brands most of the times. same case with the airheads at some of our "auto and bike" magazines.Originally posted by Devilpulsarian View Post
And the most tragic part of the story is...
at least 70% of BAJAJ cribbers/critisizers/foul-cry-ers are those who have never ever owned a bajaj.....!
for e.g. ; sometimes you generally hear a brand of vehicle running and it consistently sounds bad, and you compare it with some other brand of vehicle which sounds so much better, and as someone who has done a fair bit of riding, one might find himself to be in a position to make a reasonably fair assessment of quality levels of a product without actually having to own one.
please note i have not mentioned ANY BRAND here. i am just questioning your logic about ownership being required to pass judgement about a product, which in my opinion is flawed. if you know your vehicles and your riding and are a reasonably experienced biker, a short ride on a bike should provide you a reasonable idea. but i notice your statement being made a number of times (maybe by other members as well) while defending BAL products.Last edited by hell_glider; 06-19-2009, 03:31 AM.

Original views this time around, and very nicely put across!Originally posted by Devilpulsarian View PostJust in reference to one of the posts posted above.....!
....!
The Dio is good, made it to K-Top so it must be good

Bajaj products are not entirely bad, my Disco experience can very well be a one off case, although unlikely. Pulsar iterations have perhaps generally have been of better quality. Lucky you. I have always felt like plonking a p150 engine would be the best thing to do with the Disco now. Because the stock engine was very good in the first few months. Pity that its no more in such form.
Eterno was a disaster. Quite a roller coaster ride u've had man!
Classic Pulsar's are my favorite till date. The classic P180 especially. What a fun ride it was. Over the years have a ridden a couple of classic 180s for a few hundred kms also commuted on one in Pune and stunted a bit on another in my city! Wayy too much fun.

Just that, we must respect all brands and any brand can fail anytime....
after all its a machine...

No HH/H/Y/abcdxyz fan boy speaking here. Been with bajaj for most part of my life time, learnt riding on one. And exactly why i feel they need to improve much more than they have in 10 years. This aint the 50s where the technology was being innovated. Now its all about making the best of what is already available, break it down to feasible terms for the masses and providing us with products which are on par with offerings from international OEMs.
I like a couple of bikes from Yamaha and that's all. But im not a fan-boy, especially one who will jump the gun every time someone speaks bad about it or any of its products. Facts or factual inputs matter more than anything else, personal experiences count as well.Last edited by MG; 06-19-2009, 10:27 AM. Why don't you Rock your thoughts and go to the thread started by 'Sammyboy' - where he clearly mentioned that he has shortlisted only the Zma & RTR asked for suggestions pertaining only to these two bikes. And in the What Bike section suggestions pour in as per the thread starter's requirements.Originally posted by vipin_s View PostOne recent thread poster 'sammyboy' was seeking suggestion b/w RTR and Zma, none mentioned wait for new P220, even b-fanboys suggested Zma....yeah I mean XBHPians ROCK !!
Its nothing abour Fanboyism and all such crap... I dont own a bajaj but still i apreciate the fact that it has rolled out amazing bikes for us keeping in mind its limited resources and lack of international backing as against its rivals. And the same way I have high regards for other manufacturers too for all the good work that they have done.
And why are you always anti-bajaj man?

Bro, its clear that Bajaj want volmues.....
and for honda zmas volumes may not matter much...because it is heavily dependent on 100ccs
Pulsar 200/220 sales do matter to Bajaj because they depend mostly on bigger segment bikes...
Secondly, its not the downgrade of a version...
Do you think Bajaj would keep aside the successful FI locked in their boardrooms..?
No......................!
It all makes sure that Bajaj will come up with another 'BIG' bike with all the loaded features and then some more...in later times to come...!
PS: If this news is true...!

@bajaj fanboys: Consider complaints per 100 bikes of P220 and Zma on XBHP, P220 beats hands down Zma by huge margin. That's the reason in 'what bike' section, everyone is unanimous about choice of Zma. I have not seen anyone recommending P220 where Zma has been suggested. Zma is easily a better bike for most purposes. P220 may win a trophy in a straight line drag (400m). One recent thread poster 'sammyboy' was seeking suggestion b/w RTR and Zma, none mentioned wait for new P220, even b-fanboys suggested Zma....yeah I mean XBHPians ROCKs !!

I'm wondering if neone took my post in the context it was said. First of all, what I said was my experience of the ZMA while I owned her, and of lots of other pple arnd that time. I also had a very good frnd of mine at that time having the 94K ZMA and it never had to have the cam tensioner changed ever !!Originally posted by ravi@17bhpSukant, the cam tensioner problems rectified in newer lots. I do not see any quality issues with the alloys of current karizmas. So many have bought newer karizma's in the last year or so and try asking them if they have faced any problem. I have never seen any issue with alloys being reported the karizma thread. Speaking about a particular bike having problems does not hold for the all karizmas. There are problems and are very few and rare.
I was absolutely in love with that bike and was satisfied with the quality too !! I just mentioned it as a reservation to the post which said that ZMAs cost was reduced after P220 was released, and to the fact that there was no change in ZMAs quality ... wich I still maintain did drop after the price was reduced !!
And of course you'd expect a manufacturer of Hondas caliber will rectify those problems. I was talkin a bout 2006, you shudn't have those problems in 2008/2009 also right !! But that doesn't absolve the fact that it didn't exist !!
Neways, I take back whatever I wrote, if it angers anyone and apologise for it !!
Anyways, back to P220. I seriously think Bajaj has lost its mojo if its trying to actually downgrade their flagship model !! Maybe they are trying to have carb P220/FI P220 together like RTR, but I'd doubt they'll actually leave more power in the carb'd one !!Last edited by MG; 06-19-2009, 10:13 AM.

Yeah.I support that.Originally posted by DarthVeda View PostWhat's wrong in discussing anyway, this is a NOT a news site, it's a discussion board for all bike enthusiasts. If we lock up all threads on hint of brand wars then there won't be much activity on the forum. No point in having a READ through forum, is there?
