AFAIK India gets the European model not the American one and hence the FI.

Indian emission norms are more strict than American emission norms and hence the Ninja FI makes it here.

i already ordered custom rubber "frame" for this new machine to stop it from vibrating at those speeds.sort of dampeners.ill become a mixer at those speeds and vibs.

for those pevert minds..i am not talking about the other vibration!

Whatever it is... Every manufacturer will get more competitive with these kinda Bikers who want more out of every company.. The times getting changed when we were satisfied with whatever they threw at us
If Bajaj is seeing this, then I say bring the new P220&everything else&finish off with it. Then we can concentrate on the Ninja 250!
Anyways, my feeling is this is going to be an all-black treatment&1 ps more of power over the old P220. Period. I would love to be proved wrong though.
Logically thinking, the Pulsars have had enough of upgrades&this mix-and-match cannot last for too long. So, this could be the last upgrade of the Pulsar range. I think something is cooking between KTM&Bajaj. Hope we get to see something radically different in terms of mass market from Bajaj in 2011.

Yamaha deserves a standing ovation for what it has recently done, that is shake up the slow moving desi bike scene with exciting models like the FZ and R15. Welcome back Yamaha..!!

TVS needs to be appreciated for what it has done with the RTR series.. it has shown how to race on Sunday and sell on Monday.

Bajaj has to be credited for shaking up the desi performance biking scene in 2001 and making performance biking affordable to the common biker. The 2009 P220 seems to be in the same direction... that is one wouldn't have to hijack a bank to get the fastest bike in India.

The learning and improvements over these 8 years is for all to see.. laud the fact that it is working hard at perfecting its products.

@born2lead First of all i`m Sorry for my bad lang, but arent you frustrated seeing others zipping by you though you are in the same segment ?? (i`m talking abt 100% stock bikes here) . I agree the sales in the premium segment is quite low but who cares.. make premium bikes and make more profits you`ll still find satisfing numbers.

If these things are to be believed , Ninja should launch in 12 days time

Kushanth, really appreciate your concern, but please I beg you to refrain from accusing any company or human directly. Believe me we guys dont even know 1/2 of the stories going there, it takes a lot more then we all know to run a company like Hero Honda / Honda. So please if you dont see anything to appreciate just stay mum about it.

Zma has proven itself as a decent and comfy commuter, prefered tourer, excellent highway tool, reliability is quite good. Initial cost is not very high for it's cc, people some what see 'risk-free' in zma, that's why people opt for Zma. Zma popularity is in tact inspite of R15/P220fi/P200 launches.

...All this time i remained offline and was going through all the posts. Some very good points made by Joel, satyen and payeng. But let's take the discussion to a different path.Going by the news reports, I have this feeling that the bike might not be based on the current Pulsar.May be they have developed a new lighter frame as well as a new air-cooled engine. A top speed of 145km/hr is too optimistic a claim and i don't think it is possible from the current setups of Pulsars unless Bajaj gets something very radical which i believe the current engines cant sustain.(or may be i am wrong!!)

A possible design from BAJAJ which can be made a lower cost.Except for the swing arm and the LC engine, everything else can be made available at the speculated cost....

PS:....Err, wait a minute, Didn't Rajiv Bajaj said that It would be the fastest Pulsar ever produced. But anyways these pics are not out of place in this discussion!!
