Chill guys, too much of pricing discussions (wars
) here!
Here's my take: If priced around 2 lacs or less it will sell in good numbers
If priced above 2.5 lac, It will not sell much, and I'll be happy to see atleast 1 Ninja a day on roads.
@BAJAJ : Price it like you price your products
!
From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.

You're right the prcing does nt really matter now. What matters as you said is what the competion is going to do. Especially 250cc in my opinion is a sweet spot in the Indian biking scenario that is still unexploited. It s like a optimum segment to satisfy the Moto GP rider as well as the smart alec Mr Practical that the indian biker is. And if the competion heates up we re going to be seeing 4 - 5 250 cc performance babies al priced within a range of 10 20 thousand rupees. That my friends is a very exciting prospect.Originally posted by Sava View PostSee dude, this is about something called common sense. Cribbing about the price on some random biking forum isn't going to help. It won't make the bike cheaper.
Why don't you understand that the pricing of Ninja doesn't matter? It doesn't matter if its 2 Lakh or 2.5 Lakh. What matters is the competition that follows after its launch. Other big players (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, etc.) will be launching their bigger bikes and we'll have many more options to choose from. Now that wasn't so difficult to understand, was it?
And please point out where I praised Bajaj. I'm dying to know.
Who knows maybe we will have some company using the italian conection and collaborating to get the Aprillia 250 here.
and am I excited!!"I set out running but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine. If I get home before day light, just might get some sleep tonight" - The Grateful Dead.

he he .. I am wondering on which Ninja 250 you rested your butts onOriginally posted by anirudh fz1 View Postyes ,i have seen & sat on the bike during my trip to singapore .
the fit finish is ages below fz16 or even pulsar for that matter,
there r blaring gaps everywhere .i didnt feel like it was a quality product
thats all
You comparing fit & finish of 250 with FZ & Pulsar, you got to be joking!!
Ninja 250 is way too much a refined bike in all departments, it can easily maintain 100+ mph without straining the motor, is excellent in handling. I would say both Ninja 250 & 650R* handles similarly to Classic CBZ.
Just dont say anything just because you are a Yamaha Fan!
*P.S. I own a 650R, and whatever i wrote is based on long personal experience & No offense meant
Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE - The word itself says I M POSSIBLE.

I heard a rumour that some with good contacts in pune has already booked one and he has been promised the first 250R.
It could be like the first lot of 220 where many got the bike because of their contacts.sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

Doesn't matter who got the bike first. I only matters whether we get it when we book it ..
