There is more to comparison than using market currency exchange rates. Probably your good self forgot about it in the excitement.

For me, the news has been disappointing even before it could excite me. Rs.3L Like somebody said, the next thing available is 10L+ So seriously moneyed people will go for it. For people like me this turned out to be a non-event
Fair as in The price is at par with other places where its sold .Ninja is pretty much a CBU and these require taxes and duties to be paid . you may be disappointed due to high price but what price were you exactly expecting it to be ?

Its my wild guess. Also i strongly believe 90% of the ppl who tell that they are going to buy this bike for 3 lakh are gonna shy off in reality. I am one in that list.
+1 to that man. After all, why shouldnt poor people like me deprived of pleasure that serious biking has to offer. I hope its prices around 2-2.25L.

        Chears
I do hope its priced at that point, lesser the better But I have a feeling Bajaj will tackle Ninja differently. This will be their 'premier' line I think. They might be looking to make insane margins on these coz there is no competition in this space in India.

Finally, any speculations/justifications based on its international prices is silly. Why? I am not going to bother myself explaining. Those who know wouldnt compare and those who do will not get it irrespective. All I can say to people who say, 'you dont have money so you crib, I have money so I will buy' Please do. Like someone said, if you guys buy it in large numbers maybe the poorer members here just might be able to afford it

            • here in saudi the baby ninja costs 18000 sr
so by current conversion rate of 12.85 rs to 1 sr its about 2.3lakh rs give or take a few

so a 3 lakh figure is very nice considering taxes!!!!!

you are the one talking nonsense . how are you comparing salaries of IT guys to pricing of Ninja first of all ? i didnt get the point you are trying to make with it . be clear . what price did you expect the Ninja ? half of the international price ?

Going by your logic, aircraft companies should be making cheap private jets so that 'poor people' won't be deprived of pleasure that commuting in your very own jet offers.
Technology comes at a price. Can't afford it? Too bad. Work harder, earn more money, and quit cribbing.

And by the way, 'serious biking' depends upon the attitude of the rider, and not on the specifications of the machine he rides.

+1. serious biking has nothing to do with machinery. Take a look at the Indian Expert races and the kind of speeds they do with the humble R15 and the RTR160s, you will understand the level of control and riding skills we all need to develop even for our so-called PUNY 150cc bikes.

So will anyone rate an indian bike racer in the same boat as a rich punk riding an R1, simply cause of the machinery?

The Kwaker's price is not disclosed yet. So no point runnin circles around it and moreover talk endlessly about digital and analogue speedos. Please rather discuss about the uses of this machinery and the new avenues it will open for INdian bikers as well as Indian two-wheeler market.
                      Peace.

+1001 to that! The kwacker comming is a real new dawn for the indian biker. This is comming from someone who is been into bikes when the choice for 'Performance' motorcycles were the KB100 RTZ, TVS Supra and the RX 100. Puny 100 ccs as today's bikers consider them.

Did I ask you for advice? Or is this your part-time profession in trying to make money for Ninja

And you dont even know how to read a thread, quote another member's post! Like a tabolid journalist you quote people out of context and babble whatever little you know.

The lines that you have quoted is meant to be sarcastic. What I meant was people like you who work hard, earn a lot and would touch Rahul Bajaj's feet in gratitude for bringing Ninja, if you guys buy it now, we maybe able to afford it later. You know enuf demand, localization that route.

What my logic is amply explained, if you care to read properly. I was making a point to convey comparing prices based on just currency conversions is stupid. Anybody with any background in Finance or Economics will know.

But then for people like you and your flock so immersed in the feeling of gratitude towards Bajaj for bringing it here, sense would just not get in. Its like playing a piano in front of a buffalo.

P.S: I am out of this thread for good. Rahul Bajaj aapka bhala karen
