If the 250 ninja is gonna b priced between 2.5-3L

^^ That's right now people will realize R15 is bang for the money!! Does Ninja give 'that' extra value for money which we pay (Rs.2 lac) ?????

Now I feel R15 is very honestly priced (Fi/Liquid cooling, other goodies)

I think the best price for Ninja would be about 2 Lacs (OTR)

Oh this is getting boring now...Yamaha fans relax!!! People who dont like the Ninja or think its over priced..chill..R15 is a great bike..VFM...blah blah..end of story..lets talk something constructive!!!

i always said that R15 is a VFM but lacks certain quality [ex-rims]

also do remember that R15 is made locally hence price is 1 lakh . if it was made abroad it too would be priced high too . ninja aint made here in india guys

R15 is a very very good bike, but i don't consider it as value for money. Top knotch handling, liquid cooling and a smooth engine doesn't mean its a value for money product. IMHO, we are not exposed to the package what R15 is offering. Since its a first of a type product in India, we are considering it as VFM. I would consider a 220 carb as a VFM. Every body has different needs which has to catered. For people who want more than what a 220 or Zma, Ninja is going to be the next feasible platform.You can atleast have the back up of an authorised service centre no matter how bad they are. Buying a second hand 600 and running behind mechs, thats not so enticing to all.
Also guys, pls consider the fact that not all bikes require liquid cooling. R15 has a very bald engine head and cylinder, hence the liquid cooling to aid cooling due to the lack of cooling fins. Its not a goodie as you think which is offered as extra. Its a requirement in R15, or else the engine wil cease. Also consider the fact that CBR 150 is a carb, but does it loose in performance stand in front of R15, never.probably the reverse wil be true. Hence ppl have to stop cribbing about technology. If you consider multi cylindr engines, manifold injecton becomes mandatory, else you are bound to loose precious space for the carb and also incorrect fuel metering problem due to incorrect draft going to arise. Its not a case especially in a parallel twin. When there is no requirement for Fi, do you guys want just for name sake ? Its like HD BLUE RAY player mated to a 14 inch b&w tv. No offences meant.

Btw, the price of ninja was 3500 dollar in 08 and increased by 500for 09. No technical changes. Just marketing strategy i guess. If that is the case, ninja should not cost more than 2.2 max. Its my wild guess. Also i strongly believe 90% of the ppl who tell that they are going to buy this bike for 3 lakh are gonna shy off in reality. I am one in that list.

why cant one buy ninja for 3 lakhs ? it is a good bike if one can buy r1 which is 6 lakhs in usa and in india it is 12 lakhs, so no offence buying ninja for that price !

Oh my god!! so much discussion an argument on a bike that hasnt yet been openly talked about regarding pricing!!!
even at 3 lakh this bike will sell in good numbers because we have no other options. the rumored HH and 220 will make no more than 20-23 Hp and this is the next step for us short of a million rupees..like we have bought tomatoes at 50/kilo during tough times we will buy this at 3 lakh
