Sad scene ??Not sure what wrong with a parallel twin.. When an R15 cost 1.1L, 2.5 + for ninja is sane. Some might be satisfied only if the bike is given for free.companies cannot operate like that.
250cc = 3L
1000cc = 4 X 250 cc = 12 lakh.
Every thing comes perfect in the equation.
Just wondering why people haven't talked about the bullets which are available for a lakh. 350cc for a lakh. Then do ppl who bought an R1 for 10+lakh are insane ? Wouldn't they be satisfied for 1050cc of three bullets for 3lakh ?
for 3 lakh the ninja becomes unafforeable, but the same happens even if its 2.5. The fact is, we don't wanna stretch our pockets. Even am the same, but ppl have to stop cribbin and blaming bajaj for doing a positive thing in indian bike scene

I doubt that will happen , I think the 250r is underestimated here by most of us.Originally posted by prashanth_benz View Postand run rings around the Ninja atleast in a straight line :PsigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

Thailand FTA

On second thoughts, maybe the FTA does not cover bikes! anyway, i thought if someone had the time and resources to find out the duty structure on import of CBU and CKD bikes from thailand, it would make it possible to more accurately predict the price of the bike in India.
If someone can find and post these applicable duty figures, that would be great otherwise i would try to access some trade databases that i used a long time back when i get home.
Apparently the FTA with Thailand with respect to goods was just signed last week. Also, tariff reductions are over a period till 2016. So i don't think we can expect zero duty imports immediately.

.. im with u bro!
people stop talking about the price and start talking about the bike
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.
Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

Anyone know a "proper" source where the GC for this bike is listed? I could not find it on the Kawi website spec sheet!
The other colours are in US version.sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

No problem, as long as I get the 33ps, even brown will do!Originally posted by niks_devil666 View PostDo you want to pay more for the special edition?

Btw did it have a mainstand?
Also, any info on the spares, service&accessories front? The UK model has the best stuff you know!
Now lemme come to the real question:
As some of us know, Bajaj already brought in 200 units last Diwali when they were planning to launch the Ninja. So are we getting 2008 or 2009 models?
What happens after the 200 units are sold? CKD continues in 2009 model?Last edited by Sarvajit; 08-21-2009, 04:55 PM.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

No , atleast I didn't see one. They were using some contraption for balancing at the front forks , you might spot it in the pics.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostNo problem, as long as I get the 33ps, even brown will do!

Service , spares - we complained about the current state of high end pulsars and the service center. Response was it has Kawasaki's reputation at stake , service guys trained in Japan hence you can expect good service and availability of spares.Last edited by niks_devil666; 08-21-2009, 04:56 PM.sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

Yeah front paddock stand-they say it has the spools built into the front forks.Originally posted by niks_devil666 View PostNo , atleast I didn't see one. They were using some contraption for balancing at the front forks , you might spot it in the pics.
I wonder if they are going to make a small cell or atleast a separate area if this bike is gonna be serviced at Probiking! Did they say anything about it? What about the octane no.of the fuel?
Edit: I'm now thinking how much of down cash to arrange&what the instalments will be like!Quench my thirst with gasoline!
