I dont think they will dilute the brand positioning at the outset. They would want to make a statement as well as this will be their flagship for now. Even for the 220, the change came after 2 years and also it is in a different price bracket which is much more sensitive.

2.1-2.3 L is a sensible pricing according to me , Anyting more than that will be high.

          Just my opinion
          Santa
The funny part is , the carbed version in the US produces more power than the Fi version in Europe. Of course this has to do with the stricter emission standards in Europe.

Finally the Kwacker is here. Most awaited bike of the century by far?

Dear Santoosh, the Pulsar is their homegrown model.
The kwacker is just an import they are bringing in from kawasaki. The very fact that it will be brought in as a CBU or a CKD means that Bajaj R&D cannot touch the bike internally for making any technical changes to it.

If its a CKD, it will come in parts from Thailand, Bajaj production will assemble it here and the marketing team will sell it.

if its a CBU, then it will come packed in boxes, will be fitted with the saree guard and crappy numberplates and then straight to the Pro Biking outlets.

The exhaust changes that you see are also not done by Bajaj, but that exhaust was al;ready available with kawasaki thailand. They are simply bringing it here.

It would have been good if Kawasaki had entered on it's own with baby Ninja and may be with good old revamped Caliber, Indian market has lotz of space for quality bike makers.

                Whatz Ninja's top speed and 0-60; 0-100 0-150 figures ?

Why is it that they can't touch it?? Of course they can if they have to. After all, bajaj still holds the collaboration with Kawasaki. Its not like they are the dealers for Kawasaki in India.

P220 is for volume & numbers. This one is more for brand building and selling few pieces.I hope you got the point.

They have a collaboration for small capacity motorcycles only. Ofcourse they can touch it, literally. What i meant was, they cannot make any technical changes to it. The collaboration is only for small cubic capacity motorcycles...

Er, I really thought you got it the first time. I was referring to technical changes sir, not literally "feeling" the bike. What is your definition of "small capacity"? And what is your source for the same?

Guys you all remember the new 200 models which were also 'displayed' in the Pune showrooms right? (and disappeared afterwards)

I hope this one is also not just for 'display'.
