^^^ I thought the same initially... but Surprisingly the TVS Star City or TVS Star Sport are selling for abt 33K. They have a better pulling and more refined engine and are giving similar mileage. Have better seats and the proven chassis that handles so well. All with one cog less and one plug less. Let us not even compare those charecteristics with the Japanese bikes. So much for the VFM factor!

Sorry, forgot to mention. That's the only plus point I found in that bike. Disco looks very good.

To me the Star's look proportioned but the graphics are not good.

I wish one day will come when: Economics Time headline would say " 100,000 R1 sold in 50 days"

Dont worry 100,000 R1s could only be sold in just a tad over 100 years to be precise!!

If yamaha starts its R1 manufacturing Unit in India.....We can have the bike costs lesser than 5lakh in India.....
Then the count will be achievable....in lesser than 5years.....
When Hayabusa can be sold in 100's within few months .......

But we Indians are all Mileage Freaks.....No one wants thier Bikes to give lesser than 8kmpl....rather than they want thier bikes to give 80Kmpl...or even more....
