You are amazing dudeOriginally posted by vipin_s View Post+1 !!
HH sold 4 lac bikes in sept. if they split it I am sure Splendor will account for 2 lacs/month(30 days) !! That's lot bigger than 50,000 in 50 days !!! Such crap news releases is meant for dalal street to 'cheer' share prices
. You just don't seem to learn to respect companies. It may not be big news for Honda fan boys but for Bajaj it is big news they have been loosing a lot of market share because of their exit from the 100cc segment, this just brings in volumes for them. By the way if you look at the premium segment, honda and hero honda are not even visible when compared to the Pulsars. Bajaj almost managed to sell 80 to 90K Pulsars, how much did Hero Honda & Honda sell. I am sure the combined Uni,extreme, hunk etc.. did not cross even 25K.
PS :- Respect, learn to Respect Indian companies.

HH sells the most in the commuter segment and BAJAJ sells the most in premium segment.
Even you are talking from an evolution(biking) point of view, then its those premium bikes which are paving the path for better technology and machines not those sticker ladden 100ccs!!

source- DNA MONEY (14 Oct. 2009)

HH sold 20,395 (UP 30%)
Also check out HH includes Glam/Super splendor/PGMFi in sub125cc (124cc) , Bajaj includes it in 125cc bikes in 125+ category !! Bajaj has reported continous negative growth for the last 22 months !! Whereas HH has reported +ve sales since years !!!

@vipin_s
arey dude you are HH spokesperson, why are you in this thread
start a HH thread posting all the insider company info you seem to have
Hopefully bajaj keeps improving , possibly add Fi to these bikes sometime if the manf cost goes down.
Dont expect HH or Honda to upgrade any of their bikes. Namechanges + stickering jobs will happen. Bajaj at least has forced HH to finally come out with the ZMR
You can't deny that.
A man's testosterone level is directly proportional to bhp that he's using on his motorcycle.

omg....This guy is one of the biggest nuts I would have seen....

As I said, please remain in this comm, we need more of your type.....!
Talking about it,if the mentioned figures by DNA are correct than its good that people are moving up from the honda tyranny.
It proves that Honda is tied up only in providing and selling 100cc engines...(Which they do pretty well)
Good that people have started thinking beyond those florocent colors
Its good that people buy their products because of the reliability factor they come equipped with, but you cant always sell "anything" just on reliability sake. You need to have a "product" in hand to sell to the crowd for which a bike means something. Probably for those who need to go from one place to another their 97ccs are doing a wonderful job.
Just an analysis, HH sold more than 4 lakh bikes last month and deducting 125cc and bigger ones....They sold a whoooooooooping ~ 3 lakh 80k 97cc engines...

This makes me question, are uncles growing more than youngsters....?2002 - Pulsar 150 Classic (Still owned)
2005 - Pulsar 150 Dtsi (Still owned)
2006 - Eterno (sold)
2008 - Dio (Owned)
2009 - Pulsar 220 DTSi

When this segment reduce in number ,India can be proud that it has indeed grown from commuter segment to performance segment. No Offense ,But this 97cc Engine is doing the rounds in India for almost 25 years. Can't they retire?

Yeah, They will retire!!!
Once,
1. India's population comes down atleast by 50crores.
2. We indians have proper traffic sense.
3. We indians cares to respect other people on the road.
4. We indians dont treat as if roads are personal property
5. We indians will get driving licsense genuinely.
6. Ofcourse better roads, Not all people go on highways.
and many more....
People should stop blaming on lower CC engines as they are serving the purpose for major chunk of indians and not all are bike enthusiasts who know that biking is only in BHP's and KMPH's.
Bajaj itself was not able to resist the 100cc class. Then why blame hero honda for that. come on guys do think on others perspective too. A developed country doesnt mean having dominating performance segment bikes.....Even the developed nations heartily welcome the lower cc bikes.
And coming to makers like HH, Bajaj and etc....they dont damn care what you need, all they need is money, if they are not getting.they will search for other options.
Its not all about BHPs and KMPHs as I already said, its more about KMPLs which is required.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2008 - Yamaha YZF R15
2009 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2013 - KTM 390 Duke
2017 - Yamaha FZ25

Right.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostBajaj itself was not able to resist the 100cc class. Then why blame hero honda for that. come on guys do think on others perspective too.
Wrong.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostA developed country doesnt mean having dominating performance segment bikes.....Even the developed nations heartily welcome the lower cc bikes.
In see a developed nation having more bigger displacement bikes than smaller cc ones. Countries having licensing laws favoring smaller cc (with BHP/PS cut off limit) bikes (like in many countries in Europe), would be a different case.
Its business after all... will have to sell whatever the customer would buy.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostAnd coming to makers like HH, Bajaj and etc....they dont damn care what you need, all they need is money, if they are not getting.they will search for other options.

For most xBhpians its mostly BHPs and KMPHs... they aren't philanthropists who needs to care for the aam aadmi.
