indeed informative for yamaha in acomplishing what they are eyeing in india. we need bikes which are practical to own and run on the road along with those track high end ones.

Oh Really?Let me give some information to the people who are disappointed as they think Yamaha is only looking in 150 CC - There is indeed a launch in 200CC / 250CC by Yamaha next year and that is in the FZ series ( Fazer/ FZ not confirmed ).But they will indeed launch a 200+ bike next year along with new 150 CC and scooterates but problem with 200 CC bike is its pricing. If they would want to launch a 200 CC FZ then it may be around 80000-85000 (single cylinder & without FI ) which would be very close to Fazer and if they would want to launch it with FI or a 250 CC Fazer then it may be around 90000 - 95000 which again might be close to the R15.Thus i think rather then launching a 150 CC Fazer they should have launched a 200 CC FZ as it would have been close to 75000-80000 and much more powerful giving P220 a run for its money performance wise also.Anyway lets see what strategy they adopt now.I wish Best Wishes to them for their future.

What will be the price tag of the new 150 cc offering?? We have FZ-16, FZ-S and Fazer occupying the 75-85 K tag. Its high time Yammie considers pricing, if not cheap, just reasonable enough!

Why is 250 being discussed(speculated) here??
@Mods: Please delete the O.T posts or rename the thread to 250cc.

New 150CC will be 5-7 k cheap then the FZ16( This means 58-60k exshowroom ) which means right in range of P150/Hunk/Xtreme/Unicorn.

i dont feel international giants will launch any bigger cc or multi cylinder bike in india. although bajaj may launch such bike coz they already have ninja250 . so they can learn many things.

@ Binoy -Well friend if you really think i am in my dreams when talking about a new 150 CC & 200CC FZ/Fazer then let me remind you that i was the one who told about the launch of FZ with a quarter fairing (i.e. Fazer) a week ago even before its scoop pics were out but no one belived me then.I dont want to sound arrogant friend but trust me my source of information is correct (my friend who is a dealer of Yamaha,he even told the exact date of Fazer launch before it was officially told to media). The 150 CC would be in new platform(most probably Gladiator) & it would be @ around 58-60K exshowroom(which means in P150/Xtreme/Unicorn/GS150R range). Also there would be 2-3 scooterates on display of which one would be launched(depending on the feedback).

No offence mate... coz many of them speculate here a lot and when a guy is planning for taking a bike then by seeing this he will sometimes wait for a speculated bike... that's why is said it... if ur sources are true then fine... if possible can you give us more details of these bikes if u can...
Is this 60K 150CC bike is jus an ordinary 150 or different like an R15... mmm a FZ 250CC??? i alread own an FZ16... hop they make a 250 of R15... Fingers crossed...
