I wish there is atleast one good gearless who can beat hurt honda 's monopoly. Access has affected it but only by a small margin , may be only because of the waiting period .

But Its has to be almost perfect ,etc if it wants to challenge honda gearless segment .
Hope is a good thing ,
may be the best of things and
no good thing ever dies .

I think YAMAHA will have some really cool models in 2010, maybe the news of a another 150cc is correct cos R15 is an out and out sports bike and the FZ an aggressive street fighter and both these bikes attract a niche kind of buyers and a 150 to cater to comfort/family/commuter type of a buyer. This makes business sense. But me heart really wishes a liquid cooled 250cc screamer and the r125 comes out of Yamaha India.

yup there is word of an all new 150cc bike, but based on an upgraded gladiator platform to take the lower 150cc segment currently ruled by bajaj and HH..

I was wondering that they could also launch something in the cruiser category. 150CC yes but in cruiser style. What do you think ?

Wow! Now thats some interesting news..

I doubt there'll be such a big upgrade to the Gladi.. But yes, a proper 150cc commuter bike sounds good..

Reg the R15 upgrade, I hope its what everyone has wanted so far, so that all the cribbing about the moped like looks comes to an end..

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

I think its a 150cc scoot! Forget about upgrades to R15, its not happening.
&you know very well upsizing the tyre is detrimental to performance, they won't change that unless they tweak the engine, which itself is a maxed out tweaked form of the T135/Vixion, so making a new engine for the R15 just for the looks aspect is ruled out.

Or is it a baby version of the VMax?

But when will they go beyond 150cc!

A new 165cc Gladiator will be a definate kick in the present competition as FZs are in different league altogether even though if they are 150cc. Hope YAMAHA bring inn that John Abraham editioned Gladiator that they showcased long ago. Or else something similar to 135cc range can be worth... to take on Disco/Stunner/HH variables.

Hmmm.. There are hell lot of speculations about the R15 upgrade, so I'm not ruling it out.. I myself doubt a tyre upgrade, as Yamaha have justified themselves enough reg the choice, & rightfully so..

Baby version of the VMax.. Lol.. With an engine 10% the size of the mighty VMax..

The scenario looks like yamaha will also move only step by step

                                150 -> 160 -> 165 -> 180 -> 200 -> ...........

As what bajaj and TVS are doing now.....
