Tires yes there is not going to be any change, probably they are going to bring one more model / or the standard one of R15 with the performance kit installed on them ( not all ). [ this was confirmed to me by the Yamaha's company showroom in Pune ]Originally posted by Udayakiran View PostDream the impossible because dreams do come true !

So what does the Pune showroom guy say-any changes to R15 or not? Hyd says no changes to R15, clueless about anything else too.Originally posted by neo88 View PostTires yes there is not going to be any change, probably they are going to bring one more model / or the standard one of R15 with the performance kit installed on them ( not all ). Same here, he said no aesthetic changes, only they will add the performance kit to the existing one ... this might be limited edition model or might be on the standard one, he was too clueless on this point. Okay. Well, since each post dealt with a different issue, i thought it would be clearer if i replied in separate posts.Originally posted by Binoy View PostIf u have time to wait then it's good
... but don't expect the new R15 which will be showcased in the Auto expo to be launched in the same day itself, it will take 2-4 months to come in showroom atleast...
@Udayakiran also use the "MULT-QUOTE" option to reply for more than one thread... thank you...
Yea, 2-4 months IS a long time, but if it is worth the wait, then why not? Otherwise, i can always go for the older ones. I'm sure not all R15s would've been sold out by the 2nd week of jan. There'll be one somewhere.
But wouldn't installing the performance kit make it street-illegal? I think it was mentioned on xbhp that it does.Originally posted by neo88 View PostTires yes there is not going to be any change, probably they are going to bring one more model / or the standard one of R15 with the performance kit installed on them ( not all ). May be the Free Flow Exhaust... am not sure though... if the daytona performance kit will be installed we can expect the price in the range of a Ninja 250R... LOL...Originally posted by Udayakiran View PostOkay. Now that would be interesting. So which part of the kit does make it street-illegal?

It'd would take 2 years of my entire earnings to buy it.
But then, i wouldn't mind sponsors and donations.

Yamaha please do it
IMO if YAMAHA launches a 250cc R series bike in INDIA for around 2 lakhs or even little more, it would be a huge hit, as many of the Ninja aspirants just backed off as it's price exceeded by a huge margin(of their supposed 2 lakhs) and also Ninja simply lacks lusture of R series bikes (IMO).
Please yamaha if you are listening, give it thought......i beg...
