What I think is .... if the pics posted on the thread are to be believed and they are actually of the bike which is slated to be released, then -

    1) The rear fender is on the lines of R1 and R6. They look pretty neat (the neatest in any Indian bike currently available on road), but then they won't be doing the job of stoping mud and dust being trajected out of the running wheels

    2) The tyre hugger no doubt looks mis-designed and could have been designed a million other way (I really think Bajaj should keep our AMVJ as lead designer!! ) but they are actually there to do the job what a rear fender should have been doing

My personal opinion.... I might be wrong at that

lol.. yeah it does look like the one u described it..

my impression was.. hey it is looking like a khilauna.. and that tyre huggin rear mud guard is there so that khilauna wont get dirty ..
    lol

The only thing i liked in this bike is the rear no: plate holder. I believe thats the nxt upgrade they are going to bring in all over the pulsar range in a couple of months. Baja will seriously repent for this action of theirs over the coming years. First it was the degrading of P220 Fi to P220 carb just to sell it in large nos. Now this is what we are getting , a further degraded model!! NExt is what?-> P100?
Now dont tell me that the small exhaust is for correcting the centre of gravity as in FZ!!
there was a post in team bhp which clearly pointed out from where the bajaj got the inspiration for this fairing of so called p 135 ...chk it out
OT: Kindly Exuse us for degrading pulsars by buying the 220 dtsi. They have actually made a better bike to which every one agrees.

All's Well That Ends Well……… IMHO
Wait and see… if it works out great people will be praising Bajaj guys for great strategy…
If it doesn’t we can always go to blogs and b*tch about it…

if this is the final product, they better name it as "POSER 135"
doc, wot features for a 135 mill

    clip ons, split, rear sets...
Wots goin on in Rahul Bajaj "R n D" team, they surely have taken care of all the new-age requirements.

i must say the rear hugger is really a boon... no more buying of back-up mud flaps from gujuri/chor-bazaar
