For some odd reason, it gives me a look of the 'Hero Honda Hunk' from more than one angle! But good to see 13 odd horses from a 135cc mill. It would be nice to read a road-test of this machine. Good features, decent price - I see another hit from the Pulsar brand, already!

              Really look Nice
Bajaj Auto Ltd. has just launched its latest entrant into the Pulsar family - the light and sporty Pulsar 135LS.
Continuing its spate of new launches, Bajaj Auto has introduced a new member to its sporty Pulsar family. Called the Pulsar 135LS, the bike has been launched at a price of Rs 51,000 ex-showroom Delhi.
Even though it is being called the baby Pulsar, the 135LS features technology that are market-firsts by an Indian manufacturer. The bike will sport the first Indian engine with 4-valves, which allows the 135LS to make its impressive peak power of 13.5PS at a high 9,000rpm. Torque is adequate too at 11.4Nm. With those figures and a class-leading lightness of 122kg, the 135LS comes with a power-to-weight ratio that threatens even a few 150cc motorcycles.

The bike is also the first Pulsar to do away with the cradle frame chassis and sports the engine as a stressed member instead. Other features include a tachometer, a digital speedo with fuel gauge, clip-on handlebars and Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear. A longer wheelbase of 1325mm has been given to aid city-comfort and stability.

Oh oh Zigwheels is at it again. Take whatever Zigwheels mentions with a pinch of salt.

                  some points to notice:
                  • SOHC single cylinder 4valve DTSi engine(not DTS-Si)
                  • 13.5 ps @9000rpm that's just 0.6ps less than P150
                  • DC ignition
                  • weighs just 122 kgs
                  • clip on handle bars
                  • built on new chassis and new engine
                  • looks very much like HUNK!!!

It can give some 150 machines a run for their money.....

                    Agree on the Hunk part.

Even the old discover 135 had a 13.5 BHP engine.

its a first for an indian 4 valve engine.. And iirc, this is close to what the first generation pulsar 150 would make ( power ). But at a peaky 9000 rpm?? how driveable would this be in traffic?? im sure they wouldve geared it accordingly.

I hope the engine is a rev happy dude... Then this bike would be a hoot to ride.

Looking really good in both the colors specially full black and chrome one with no hint of RED

13.5PS with kerb weight 122KG, it sounds to be a good power/weight ratio.

                          power(bhp)/kerb weight(kgs) appx figures:
                          .138 p220
                          .128 r15
                          .125 rtr 180
                          .111 zmr
                          .109 Pulsar 135
