Bajaj is playing games!, They just wanted to test their 4 valve engine on a smaller platform. so that all the mistakes get sorted out in this lower variant and then they could play games with biggie pulsies too. Expecting a four valve P180,220,.. is not far away now.

That is what had been said during the 2008 Auto Expo. But then let us not speculate!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Looking at the above figures, P135 has better power/weight ratio than "ALL" other bikes upto 150cc (minus R15) (RTRs are 159.7cc) available in India. Zigwheels was not wrong after all...
And surprisingly almost equal to ZMA-R and ZMR numbers.

That's probably the part I didn't like so far... may be because it is similar to how XCD 135 looks.

This one is a test mule for sure. But not sure how long Bajaj is gonna take to get this 4 valve DTSi onto to the other family members. And, by that time, wouldn't the KTM derived engines be ready?

It can give some 150 machines a run for their money.....
So will Bajaj phase out the 150 Pulsy?! This has better bhp per tonne weight ratio than Bajaj Pulsar 150, Unicorn, Suzuki GSR...

                    Interesting stuff:

[1] 4 Valve engine with max power of 13.5 Ps coming in at 9000 rpm..!!

[2] A kerb weight of just 122 kgs..!!

[3] Which in turn translates into a power to weight ratio that betters other 150 cc bikes..!!

                    Style:

The bike looks like a Fresh (may I add "Younger") Pulsar.
The Old and Typical Pulsar Trademark Tank is out.. the new tank seems to offer functional knee recesses as well.

The Rear tyre hugger and the saree guard is an eye-sore.. but if removed completely, would definitely make the rear end look wild and wicked.

                    Love that number plate holder.

recollecting memories - why the RTR was such a hoot to ride.. power to weight ratio. With 4 valves, it could be a crazy revver too. I wonder why the bore & stroke numbers are not listed on the website.

                            True,

With the 4 valve configuration, the P135 LS should be able to rev easily high in the rpm range.. no wonder its max power is coming at a high 9000 RPM.

But it will be interesting to note how good would be its low rpm response.

                              Pulsar LS

This is going to do what FZ 16 did to Yamaha. A major shake out is in the offing. Late entrants to the market Suzuki will definitely feel the heat, TVS Flame will be consigned to flames by value conscious biking commuters, Hero Honda bikes will lose their Passion and Splendour for ever and Honda will definitely will become opaque after losing all their shine er..also lose their corn from Uni....watch out LS - Lightning Super...
