    ^^^doubts?on what...?

bajaj discontinuing products is not a new thing. In an interview by rahul bajaj openly admitted the failure of xcd brand...and also said there won't be any scooters from their side...they aspire to be the biggest motorcycle manufacturer...
anyway, coming back to the topic,I hope P135 does wonders for bajaj and hope they won't discontinue it in 2 years time
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

Let Bajaj sell this bike for a few years first. All their previous 125 & 135 packages got buried under the soil much faster than we thought. This is irritating to say the least. So many bikes & brands in this segment by Bajaj. Almost like one an year.

I wish at least this one holds on and justifies the Pulsar tag given to it.
Couldn't agree more. It's really disheartening to see BAJAJ pulling off the brands within a year. But this time the brand "Pulsar" will help BAJAJ!!

I really loved the number plate holder and the grab rails. Wonder if they are backward compatible with P180UG3

Small power improvement of 0.2 bhp over Discover and 7 kilos more compared to XCD135.
Disc135 was never a threat to Unicorn even though Disc135 power was same as Unicorn. And with P135 I don't see any erosion of reputed brands like Xtreme/Hunk/Unicorn/FZ/GSR

I have a small point to make here... 13.5 bhp is the overall max bhp that the engine can output... but what exactly matters is the bhp (transmitted to wheel with minimum loss of power) available at the rear end of the wheel (due to friction and lots of stuff normally in Indian context of bikes approx 25% of it is lost which can be found through dynamo tests... this due to fact that in low end consumer bikes manufacturer and R&D don't break their head to reduce them now but in next bike update they improve it marginally to show You have got something new..) so it doesn't really matter...

Coming to those 4valves... It's purely a gimmick... Remember LML adreno... India's first 3valve engine which sold good numbers with the same gimmick... BTW Bajaj could have done a lot more with 4valve magic... But its very disappointing to see that 4valves are just for name sake and no proper increase of power or for the matter that torque is on the lower side... those 2 inlet valves are still restricted(read size) for limited intake of mixture than its potential(proper mods can work wonders though)... but those 2outlet valves if Bajaj has used cleverly they have a sure winner with that 4valve mill... As it has capability to deliver very strong and consistent mid and high end torque and power with proper exiting of waste gases...

P135LS.. will surely severely affect CBF125 sales, if not totally kill it. It's great to see Bajaj, for the first time, spending R&D in detailing minute thing, and for one i'm impressed with engine shell designing, something I would love to have on my P220.

But' the best news, is that Bajaj finally has a 4 Valve mill on the roads, and that surely means the biggies getting the 4Valves soon.. may be in next 2 years.
Mate... P135 has nothing to do with CBF125... Its like comparing ZMA with Ninja... CBF125 is a pure performance bike in its making and is pretty successful world wide too... A commuter bike can never be a competition to performance bike...

All in all I truely appreciate Bajaj for this beauty(a true Indian beauty...) Lets see can it meet for our ever growing expectaions...

                Ah..!! That's a SWEEPING statement..

Even the YZF R1/R6's, CBR1000RR/600RR's, GSX-R1000/R600's, Ninja ZX-10R/6R's of the world uses the same GIMMICKY 4 Valve thingy on their cylinder heads.

We were actually expecting a 10 bhp bike here.. a few sites/blogs even speculated about it. But I guess more is less..

Better take the P135 LS for a spin when you get the chance.. that would clear our doubts better.

The CBF 125 is the international name for our 125 CBF Stunner. And we all know that its not actually a "pure performance bike" (and its already been "made and being sold" and "not in the making").. its basically a commuter bike.. Heck, even the Ninja 250R basically is a commuter/beginner bike.

The bike is a good combination of looks and performance. Hoping to see Bajaj set a new record with this one too.

They say it can throttle to 112kmph and I have a good doubt. Even P150's top speed is said to be 110kmph...!!

                      • I m just praying let they not manufacture a 100c pulsar
Except the front headlamp, tank scoop and the rear tyre hugger, the bike is ok.
Its exactly a hunk with a slimmer body. Rear end looks "open". Front mudguard is protruding all the way to the ground. A short front mudguard will be better.

                        Sari guard is neat.

So they tarnished the pulsar brand atlast. Not happy with this any more Whatever gizmos it has it doesn't matter. Its like naming a step-thru calling R1.

Dude, For 100 cc bike the Adreno and energy were screamers and produced more power than all other 100 cc 4t bikes of that time. They were mighty fun to ride also. For the record valves alone don't increase power, total engine design does. What 4 valves will do however is make the engine much more free revving than a 2 valve engine. I sincierly suggest you get facts before making statements like 'It's purely a gimmick'. You are not expressing your thoughts like this, you are making a hard statement.

Adding new stickers and a engine guard and calling it a new bike is a gimmick. Creating a new engine is not.

                          • This is a bike that will take the roads by the storm. One thing I dont understand is that how does P135 erode the Pulsar brand? This is the best tech update from Bajaj is long time and it has been introduced on their flagship brand. Brand like XCD does not deserve this premier technology. As for 135cc mill, going by the test reports, P135 is better than many 150cc bikes in terms of performance. And its almost 10k cheaper. Its like the first Pulsar that brought performance to the masses, P135 will extend that tradition and in the words of Rajiv Bajaj "democratize the performance". Ofcourse, it seems likely that Pulsar 2010 in all capacities will sport 4 valve engines and that will be pure bliss.

I was referring to CBF 125 stunner. If your statement, was meant for some other bike then it's fine my apologies for the confusion.

But if yes you were referring to Stunner, and really meant "CBF125 is a pure performance bike in its making and is pretty successful world wide too... A commuter bike can never be a competition to performance bike..."

                              Then I can only

                              Just for the Comparo:

                              Vs Pulsar 135 (Carb, Disc)
                              Price: 51+K (assumption)
                              CC:135

now thats good and honestly i didn't expect a new engine from Bajaj. looking at reviews on zigwheels the bike looks promising. lets wait and watch for the complete review by some xbhp members.

why is so much made out of cbf 125: isn't it is the same shine engine with more plastics (no offence meant to owners/fans of stunner) in comparison to the new engine here.
