Saw a guy riding this bike in golden color outside my building-looked very chunky&sporty. Went to the showroom the next day&found they have really designed it on the lines of the CB1000RR, (like the R1&R15) but somehow felt some of the features may be too much for a commuter bike, like open chain cover, toe only gear shifter&of course the unconventional grab rail, which seems non existent in this. I didn't even see a ladies'footrest/saree guard. Are these available optionally?
That apart, I'm waiting to see what the 150cc version of this will look like, heard its coming soon.

all the twister will be doing is eating the 135's dust when it'll come to sheer acceleration and power department.

            huh?
The P135 has 25.6 more CCs, 4.4PS of more power and 2.4Nm of extra torque. Have you ridden both the bikes?

              Welcome back

The P135 is a nice fuzzy bike, it performs quite well... infact when I rode it, I was comapring it with my short stints with discover, and it seemed so much better especially the top end.

The CB on the other end put me off completely when I saw it... and I didnt even bother to ride it! (more so because of the pathetic dealer there)

Come on, it does look mean for a commuter bike
And rides pretty well too. Ofcourse, for most of us more is never enough but those on a budget and wanting to have a good looking fuel efficienct bike that also have enough punch for city, the CB is a good deal in my opinion

No, no, nothign about the power and all.... I have ridden the star city/jive and other punny bikes too, but the CB really put me off! I dont know why, may be it was all that masculine jazzy looks with a soda can sized cylinder!

The first thing that hit my head was that I guess it was more like a tight slap to the Indian bike market with sheer Honda arrogance saying that this is what you get... just looks and styling!
Ofcourse later I liked the value that they are offering to the commuting segment! even considered buying it for my girl, but its too pricey!

yes cb twister is the bike to watch out for, all can say that pulsar 135 ls have more cc and bhp but the way cb twister handles is impeccable ! surely pulsar ls will win on the drag thats no Q but do we need that in these bikes ? No !

Look I am no engineer myself but as much as I know about bikes and all, I think diamond frame used in this new twister are the type of frames that are most commonly used in bicycles and low speed moped and the only basic difference here is that twister uses twin tube setup rather then single tube setup common in bicycles. On the other hand 135LS uses a stressed engine frames - the engine becomes part of the frame (saving weight and space) and together it creates a stiff chassis and stiff enough to have been used on many race machines along the history made by ducati, buell, triumph, yamaha, kawasaki and guess what even Honda did it! And which last awesome Indian bike had such a frame oh yeah I remember Hero Honda CBZ classic also had same ditto setup that is in new LS. So please man educate me how hero jet frame set up has impeccable handling and CBZ classic setup is for donkey-on-wheels?
And also about your line on winning I would humbly suggest you to remember what a great man 'DOM' once said about winning in the holy movie of The Fast and the furious. Dom: Ask any racer, any real racer. It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile; winning's winning.
P.S. I have alwayes preached and I shall preach once more: Worship the biking not the bike manufacturers!

You have felt it that way because of the strong low end torque of the twister.. Cross 60 and she'll show u the real colour.. It has got very good low end grunt like a typical honda, but up above the Revving sky she looses steam..
While the P135 has a normal low end grunt but once it crosses 6k rpm, it doesnt take much time to hit its 10k limit.. When u ride both the bikes next time, try reaching 100 on both the bikes, Come back and post what u feel.
                          Fun Starts at Redline!!!

+1 to the last line, very similar to my signature

As far as stressed engine frame on the baby pulsar is concerned, it is just to keep the weight lower.

Same can be said of the R15 . You know with all the jazz of R1 with those tinny winny tyres and engine. Not attacking you personally, just finding humour in our biking scenario in general .

I do agree on the jazz of the R1 bit, but I would sitll not call it like that because of the brilliant bike it is in terms of the chassis, the FI, the spot on breaking and the entire package.
Ofcourse it may be a gimmick for Yamaha, but it is yet leagues ahead of any production bike in India! Horendous-Humorous state of our biking industry!
