    Ok so I had a look at the bike today in Vasant Vihar PBK, Delhi.
    The 220 S has got a 35W bulb like all 150/180s, H4 socket, in fact, the same bulb that my bike has.

    So, it will have the current 180 electrical setup with full DC and only 35W lighting.

    I don't think you can plonk in a Avy 180 stator in here.

    Also, on road in delhi is 73500.

      Most of the people here are concerned about looks of the bike, but we should also consider the fact that the 220-S will be much cheaper than the 220-F.. You are getting a 220cc Pulsar which is renowned for its Performance @ just 73k (approximately) on road.. Wow...

      Though I myself not interested to go for it as I already have a Pulsar 200.. Now I would like to try something else.. so...

            There hasnt been a good bike from BAL after 220 DTSfi was launched. Since then its just a mix and match of parts. They cud have atleast used some styling from the p135 LS like the fairing/tank/tail piece.

            Huge disappointment , even though its definitely the best deal in the market.

                I owned the P220 Fi back in 2007 and absolutely loved it until it started giving me some serious problems and in the end I sold it. However I still feel that the P220 is a good motorcycle and in my case it was a one of incidence.

                But I do think that in this new avatar its really G8 and its going to give a lot of sleepless nights for the other manufactures.

                I had gone to the Pune Probiking today to see the P220 DTSi S for my bro. Although its been almost a year since i gave up my P220Fi, i felt it was great.... nice to handle and can pack a punch(since its a carb version) would have loved to check it out on open roads though.

                On road price for Pune is 76K

                  That should'nt be a huge problem.. It is just a matter of plonking in 55/60w bulb in place of 35w stock & their should'nt be any battery drianing issues, people should be worried about their glass reflectors if it is capable of handling heat of 60w of DC.

                    This could have been such a brilliant ploy launching it with some fresh looks! Heck if they wanted to go with the Streetfighter look they could have given it a naked look without this fairing as well! Something like the FZ headlight (or the LS headlight) with\without a projector....

                    I mean seriously... Bajaj guys if you are reading this, you are overdoing it now! 150 - 220 all with similar looks (yeah i know stiffer shocks and all) but please implement some small differences!

                      When P180 2009 edition was launched i was thinking y Bajaj didn't used same tank extension / bikini fairing as P200 with black plastic end which looked better. But i got it now Bajaj was saving these for P220S or what ever it may be called.

                        Why Bajaj have become like this. Still how long they maintain the same old design. Man this is 220 CC. Atleast give it a dignety with better looks. They should really want to get some good R&D.

                          we'll have to live with these bikes from bajaj until 2011,when the new pulsars are said to roll out...all these minor upgrades,tinkering and mix matching within the family is to survive for another year i guess...

                            thats a fact , what u said..but bajaj always does somthng to keep that distinctly ahead platform....im also planning for a p220S soon....i know it wud again get upgraded..but waitng for the final upgrade is a foolishness as with the case of bajaj..isnt??but the worryng thng is wen r they goona release??the sooner the better for us..do check the bike advice site for more pics of P220S...
