@Satyen & Chicane: Guyz, i doubt if tvs will launch them here cause, the design seems a tad old compared to even the ORIGINAL apache.. besides, when YAMAHA is allowing them to show their designs without blurring, wy should tvs blur theirs..? also, tvs has overseas markets right..? remember step-thrus in thailand and so on and so forth.. this might be for that market cause pulsars are selling seriously good in those places and this might be tvs's way of saying HELLO to that market.. jus my guess.. ready for brickbats if i'm wrong..

Firstly, there is no way the fazer 250 will cost 1 lakh
Secondly, saying that p220 will be a better option if the fazer comes at 1lakh is blasphemy.
I feel Bajaj bikes have good enough quality. I know people who treat there Pulsars like whores and there Bikes are still running strong. My P200 has lasted for 2.5yrs without an single part change or a Break down. My friend who bought a Fazer 150 got a ceazed engine in 2nd month
. So I feel Its all upto the OWNER.
Bajaj i feel is total value for money. 21horses, projector beam and all those goodies for 73k is awesome. Compared to Stone aged 21Bhp Fazer 250 that if launched will cost Twice as much as a 220.Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

Man, we have been dying to get our hands on some meaty engines and all we get is poor 250's ... This is real shame, but atleast it's good to know that we are headed towards the right direction for now.My thoughts are subjected to personal experiences/internet articles. Please read my comment carefully before replying. :)

Adding fuel to the speculation made earlier .... here is bit of information ...
" With the setting up of IKM (India Kawasaki Motors) for import and sale of high capacity Kawasaki motorcycles in the country, it’s finally time for two-wheeler fanatics (who had been waiting patiently for years to own and experience a legal Superbike without having to shell out a million rupees) to rejoice. Though no confirmations have come from either the Japanese giant or its Indian counterpart Bajaj, we at BIKE India strongly believe the Ninja 650R will be the next Kawasaki - after the Ninja 250R - to hit various Probiking showrooms across India by Diwali.
This 650cc and 70odd bhp motorcycle would be priced below the Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. Shocked? The credit for this goes to the fact that the bike will be imported in CKD (completely knocked down) kits from Thailand, a country with which India enjoys the benefits of FTA (free trade agreement) and hence the extremely low custom duties. This Ninja carries the design heritage of its bigger cousins and at the same time provides a very relaxed and neutral ride experience.
The second motorcycle which we feel will follow the 650R will be the naked and extreme looking Z750. With over a hundred horses on tap, the Z750 will satisfy the power hungry soul easily. Pricing for this bike will be around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom). Both bikes might come with ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard fitments. "

+ Bajaj-KTM’s Rs 1 lakh bike ...
This is news "But fresh information suggests that the bike will be priced around Rs 1 lakh. A 125cc bike at that price will not fetch large numbers in terms of sales, which mean that the firms might be looking at launching a bigger bike, probably 200cc plus. Praise the lord!"

Are you sure that if Fazer 250 would around 1 lac then their quality much superior then P220?Originally posted by adibombay View PostDo you think Bajaj will be able to provide quality anywhere near vicinity of fazer 250???
I am not die heart fen of Bajaj but in Single Cylinder low CC, Bajaj is not too bad
If it is in 1 lac, then yes, I would prefer /suggest P220Originally posted by bhasma View PostPlease tell me thats a joke.

I am not comparing it, I just suggest/choose best VFM bike between those two and you can not denied Bajaj P220 is not VFM bikeOriginally posted by spiderweb View PostAre you serious?

It is time that people should STOP thinking about the Yam Fazer 250!! We have said this 2 years ago, last year, this year and now again. The Fazer 250 is NOT coming!Originally posted by JitenMistry View PostAre you sure that if Fazer 250 would around 1 lac then their quality much superior then P220?The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

somewhere tvs was launching a 2xx bike but its proved as a rumour, then it was the zmr proving all expectations from HH stable wrong and now honda thinking to launch 200 cc to compete karizma and the bajaj ktm colabration to manufacture bikes and sell in european market first so by the time they actually start producing and then launch in india it will take 2 or more years.
I dont understand one thing, when the karizmas original engine is a 27 bhp and our govt rules cuts it to 17 bhp how can we expect bigger and more powerful engines by our local manufacturers.
