  • Ok bikers......... lets be cool here,

R15s indicated speeds might be very optimistic.........the bike runs 17inchers, more prone to speedo errors. But R15 is really quick to 100s, but after that does takes sometime..........I did a 135kmph speedo on the r15........faster than p220f to 100kmph and climbing.I did ride the P220f back to back on the same day in same crouch position as on r15 on the same stretch of road........ran out of road with the P220 still in 90s.......while the r15 whacked to a 105kmph speedo indicated.I doubt r15s speedo......how can a 17bhp stressed breather can be that faster than a 21bhp free breather.........ok the R15 maybe lighter, but still,Pulsar220 has got the 3 extra bhps, believe me,by phyisics, just one for bhp compensates for that extra weight........P220F has three more !!!!!

Anyway,R15 is a bike on its own, show it the racetrack.....go bling.CB300R is just a bore out ZMA.........CRF230L series bored to CB Twister 250.......which again bored to 300cc.Very cool bike, but Ninja is faster than this definitely.Cant tell the same for R15.So lets end this

As for myself.........I am searching for a second hand GSX750R,to be purchased by July 2011......anyone with any plans can help me...seriously This a more fruitful speculation of finding a used GSX750R for myself in India........my money wont go waste for sure

250 cc without a liquid cooled engine and max speed only 155 its disappointing.

      • Cant stop wondering, how many people in this forum have a last name as Honda,Kawasaki ,Suzuki or even Enfield for that matter...human imagination, surely has no bounds, can leap to places ,unseen, unheard of.

It is not about how much speed you do, its all about how quickly you do it.
+1000 to tat !! well put mate

155 True speed is great since the ninja true top speed is also 150 kmph

            • r15 reaches top speed at 11000 rpm

honda would do a certain speed at low rpm dude.
this bike carries more torque than even ninja.

cb300 revs till 7500 rpm only and still gives those speeds which ninja gives at 12000 rpm.

              you calculate the power

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

CB300 is an air cooled 50cc higher...........and for such bikes.........redlining will only make the engine go kaput.Ninja 250R has been restricted for certain safety issues and norms in Europe. But I know Ninja does 159kmph most of the time very quickly..........given the road.
Its actual top speed is 159kmph,I am not going by manuals and magazines but real ride experience.

So lets be over with this CB300R power struggle and lets get back to things we are really good at Speculation

Moreover it is Hero Honda who seems to be keen in bringing the CB300R to India while Honda will rope in its VTR250.........So CB300R is fated to meet something from the racy stable of TVS .............now that what I call back to speculation

                    • cb 300s real top speed is not 155. i am talking about the indicated speed. go to you tube and check. the bike hits red line at around 140s(indicated).my point is that the cbr 300 is way less powerful. ofcourse it is more torquey than an r15 and hence will hit top end faster. i only wanted honda to properly tune the engine and extract the max. like yamaha did with the r15 without compromising too much on mileage or other factors.

                              Nice..!
I think it would be CBZ 300 with a rear disc, oil cooled and console might be lifted from ZMR. if et all HH launces it.

Optional?!? They are an absolute must, how else can it be a HH?

But more seriously, I wouldn't bet on Honda bringing in the CB300R let alone them letting HH bring it in. Our best hope might be a 250cc from Honda itself, if at all.

Any other manufacturer should see this as a chance to impress some people. But we all know where the numbers are.
