In India these bikes are considered as sport where as internationaly they are considered as "courier" bikes. so no one quite bother about rear disc brakes and plastics

I got an info from my friend that Royal Enfield is launching Thunderbird 500cc in another 10 months... wat do u all think abt tat??

First let them bring down the waiting period of the existing 500 classic. It already has a wait period of 8 to 9 months and when this one arrives god knows ...........

I got some news from suzuki dealer from chennai that suzuki gonna launch gixxer 600 or sv650 through ckd unit. I donno this news is TRUE but i believe the sv650 will be good for our roads if launched as ckd unit.

Can any one show some lights on this ?

I have seen a huge poster of Suzuki 1000 here at hyderabad showroom atleast. Not sure about 600.

the top speed of the cbr 300 is around 155. my r15 does 145 with 17bhp. my suggestion would be not to buy any piece of waste as the cbr300 or similar 250. if you are looking for performance from a 250 go for the ninja or wait for any thing special like an R25(not likely to happen) that could smoke these puny 250s.

155 is the 'real' top speed of the bike. And 145km/hr is not the 'real' top speed of the bike unless you tie your bike behind a CB300R or any other puny 250s!!

The R15 might do it in a marathon of 2kms, whereas the CBR300 might do it in a sprint :d.
It is not about how much speed you do, its all about how quickly you do it.

Ever tried your R-1-5 with speed-gun/GPS?? that 145 you see is not even past 130 true, leave aside the time it takes to reach there...
