Now Yamaha is really coming up.......after this the 165cc mill of tested Gladiator sports wont be a far fetched dream.
Yamaha Scooter !!! Wow.At last the girls will have something powerful other than the style as always
Thanks JD666...you are the Yamaha man.
But,JD666 does this bike looks like the SZ concept displayed???
what assumption can be made of about its kerb weight and also about the handlebars, are they low set or high set ??????Seating position - Mundane commuter like as in Discover 150 or the all rounder type as in Unicorn ????
I don't think pulsar 135 ls gonna have any threat....its a diff. league....it's a 4 Valve m/c.
and yamaha never gonna give us a 4 Valve bike for Rs. 60k.....

You get a 150cc with 14Nm torque at lower of that price.........beat thatOriginally posted by It's me View PostI don't think pulsar 135 ls gonna have any threat....its a diff. league....it's a 4 Valve m/c.

Don't be surprised if Yamaha tinkers with the mill. It should be more of a 150cc commuter.Originally posted by MACH50 View PostYou get a 150cc with 14Nm torque at lower of that price.........beat that

The Gladiator is quite a big bike already. And with those tank scoops it does look more muscular than the Unicorn or for that matter most of the 125/150cc bikes. As JD sir said, the new bike in question looks like a beefed up Gladiator. That coupled with the speculation that it costs 60k nearabouts means the bike will probably not be putting down as much power on the road as the Fz.
So what we have ended up is a bike that repeats the same story as all the bikes from Yamaha. Very good overall but still not as fast as the competition.

If the SZ Yamaha Concept is a 150 cc, then Yamaha needs
1. A sensibly priced (not more than the current Hunk/CBZ-Xtreme level, maybe even lower) and
2. One that returns sensible fuel efficiency (at least around 45-50 kmpl consistently).
If its 125-135 cc, I have my doubts if it can make its place when we have the CBF Stunner (Good looker) and the Pulsar 135LS (Fire breather) and a plethora of plain sensible commuters.

New Higher Revving engine from Bajaj!!!
Hi Guyz.. Bajaj is developing a new High Revving engine.. Possibly a 4-Valve Single or a Parallel Twin.. Based on DATA which i can't reveal here, i suspect it to be a 150 or 250-300cc.. But this will in all probability take a year's time.. I know this cause of my nature of work.. But i can give you one hint.. Its gonna be THE smoothest engine ever by Bajaj, so much so that a 5-Letter Japanese Company will have a tough time keeping up..

No really, if this turns out to be true and Bajaj really launches something above 220cc that too with 4 valves then i can already see lots of potential buyers. You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

Only thing is that it would be a 250cc........Bajaj loves sales as well as performance and thus pumping up the existing Pulsar range with these technology would only increase the price, which is what Bajaj is not looking for, since we saw the P220DTSFi and P200-OC got cut off and made way for the simpler and faster P220F and P220S.
So this high revving engine reported is probably the Pulsar250 or 300,and its for those who thinks the Ninja is far fetched.
Honda arsenal with its CB300R would be really facing heat from this sort of Engine, but remember there's also a VTR250 from Honda, which is exactly in range of Ninja.
Thus no need getting in "who would kick whose reputation" tussle here
