The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

I dont think so. R125 has a maximum power output of about 15PS and apart from running at a higher compression ratio there is not much difference in the engine architecture which would make it faster as it's 2PS short which is a lot. Both the bikes weigh similarly at ~125kgs, though!!Originally posted by ken cool View PostThey are similar. But the R-125 will run rings around the R-15!

R125 has, (but this doesnt makes it superior)Originally posted by samschenker View Postwhat makes the R125 superior to the R15? is it the chassis or the engine?
Aggressive R-series styling
Aluminium swinging arm
Large diameter disc brakes
It puts out 15 ps with 1.25 kgm of torque, but it looks more racy. The Magician"

Well if you take a carefull look at my post i have highlighted 30 bhp and the price i.e. 1,20,000 Rs .I highly doubt that this is possible because ninja which produces around 33bhp retails for much more even in countries where it is manufactured . I am not saying all of it is not true .Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostWell lets not get there for now!
This is just what I think , i would be more than happy if TVS proves me wrong .

Enlightenment will come the moment you ride the R125. Specs on paper is something, riding the two bikes on the streets is totally another. Believe me, once you ride the R125, you will throw the specs sheet outta the 15th floor window!Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostFrom the specs it isn't very evident, why an R15 cannot stay or cannot go ahead of R125

BTW guys, the R125 is not coming to India. This is stated numerous times.
BTW, the R125 is more aggressive, more track focused and has much more equipment than the R15. No point discussing so much about it. It is much more peaky engine and people here are already crying for more low end power from the R15.
Well, we left that to the kidsOriginally posted by darkknight View PostNoone appreciating the upcoming pulsar 250

I think this will be the ninja killer for sure

But then, if the specs stated for P250 are true then it sure is.

But, If YAMAHA launches it in INDIA with a price tag of anything between 2.5-3.5L(as someone said on this forum) Then, How would one digest buying a PUNY 125 over a NINJA 250 twin cylinder in 3L.

It would not make sense. Hence I reckon it would not come. But I wonder why all the TV channels and other news sources are going on and on about the arrival of the R125! Just to fill up air space in between ads I guess.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostTrue! Riding is a different phenomena.

Pricing wise it would be a dream come true for those who would like to taste the performance of something near to baby Ninja. My thoughts are subjected to personal experiences/internet articles. Please read my comment carefully before replying. :)

The R125 might be just 125 cc but the looks & Size is by no means puny. Beside an R6 it looks almost there. With the Ninja 250 it would match up in looks & even the priceOriginally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostBut, If YAMAHA launches it in INDIA with a price tag of anything between 2.5-3.5L(as someone said on this forum) Then, How would one digest buying a PUNY 125 over a NINJA 250 twin cylinder in 3L.

Ninja 250 is a no frills bike with power. R125 is max out power at half the CC (though less than half the ninja's power, for a 125cc it is a lot of power) with lots of goodies. Well, why am I discussing the R125 again!

But still for this much price for a 125cc engine specially in INDIAN market, YAMAHA wont risk it.Originally posted by HydBiker View PostThe R125 might be just 125 cc but the looks & Size is by no means puny.
