I remember guys having unrealistic price expectation of 1.2-1.5 lakh for the Ninja 250R (thanks to over enthusiastic speculations of amateur blogs and a few professional publications as well).

why is the discussion so heated up on price
when the fact is
NINJA 250 R is 5000 USD in USA plus insurance and other stuff
that makes around 2.5 lacs ( approx) and we are paying 2.86 here
so if We follow the same formula
600 cc is 10,000 USD
so it can be in the frame of 5-6 lacs
anwys welcome 600 cc needed it badly

ZX-6R??? Why!!! I can buy a used Litre class from Rossiter for that price and do the hard runs on track (if and when they build one). I have done enough of R bikes to know what is good for me.
I am in favour of saving my back, wrists and most importantly my relationships. When I take my R1 out for long hauls, it injures me and my relationship. To such an extent that now I travel alone. If I have something like a ER-6F, I can travel without hurting my back much, my wrists will be doing fine and I will have fine company behind me cruising at 170Kmph with luggage. And with the 4Lacs that I will save, I can go and tour South America!
Yes, the Indian public, read a lot of members from xBhp, are crazy for R bikes. But then how many of them actually go out and buy them? And those who have clocked a few kilometres on their R steeds have learn't to do something better! The Indian public has to mature a LOT to be able to take sensible decisions.
I only hope Bajaj takes a calculated decision. A matured one.The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

@Bluevolt: I do understand ur point of view, there are a lot of tourers.... but if its 5-9 lacs we're putting in we would prefer to buy something which is AWE-Inspiring and something we would 'worship'. Atleast I would and I know a lot of people of my age group would (22-38yrs). And I do understand that the Ninja 650R (ER-6f) is a very practical bike, which you can use everyday, but as it is a big bike you would never dream of parking it in any place out of your 'sight'. So I am not sure of everyday usability, I also drove the 650R and it blows too much hot air on your thighs.And it doesn't look all that beautiful in person.
I thought the 2010 650R looked nice personally! Some pics of the ZX6R and the 650R. Just notice the riding position on the 650R!

First thing, I doubt the credibility of the news even though it came as a news item in Zigwheels. Kawasaki coming to India, Ninja 250R availavility in India + some speculation and you have a news item.
Second thing, without price estimation the above poll doesn't make much of a sense to me. People are just blindly selecting ZX-6R
For brand building the easiest and best bet for Bajaj will be to bring something above 800cc is what I feel other than the likes of 650R or Duke 690.Comment
