hopefully there will be good news in the remaining days of the expo. Fingers Crossed.

After all the hype around a prospectively revamped R15, all we get is a new colour scheme! The bike does look good but one really thought Yamaha would work on the grey areas of the bike (looks wise)..

I think Yamaha might come up with a new bike or 2 a little later into the auto show (if Rossi is coming down)..
Reg R15, I think the only change is what we saw (The white+red).. They wouldn't have showcased a new colour scheme if a slightly revamped model is going to come up..

Went to Auto expo

My friend called me today and said he had some passes for today and there wont be much crowd too, so i obliged and took Metro and went along and reached gate 7 at 1:30 PM.

The auto expo was nice, really good, got some snaps of bikes and 4 wheelers which i will share below.
Went to xBhp stall too (how could i miss that) and met Augusta and MG bhaiyya (Rohit told me about him), the stall looked really nice and as usual our Augusta was busy clicking snaps.
Aryan da and Ken da, couldnt meet you guys today too, well will se you after 21 jan whenever Delhi G2G happens.

Ws so busy viewing xBhp stall that i didnt even click a single pic of the stall, sorry. If i get my Learners license by Sat, i will attend mega G2G otherwise next time.

The Toyota Launch.

This year, at the 10th Auto Expo, xBhp is eagerly participating in the coverage of car launches as well. And chance had it that the Toyota stand was in the same hall where the xBhp stall was situated. And I was promptly at the spot for the media launch of one of the most anticipated vehicles from Toyota. Firstly, this was one big event with the very presence of Toyota at the Expo which in itself a rarity. Furthermore, after the arrival of the Corolla in the country, their flagship model there was not much to wait for. However, it seemed that Toyota has been working on an India Specific model, a car, that would give decent mileage, make the enthusiast happy as well, be an affordable status symbol, with suspension specific to Indian infrastructure and they came out with the car that is called the Et!os. On the 5th of January, 2010, the Etios was an international launch in India. In fact, it has yet to be launched in markets outside India. I was fortunate enough to be present during this unique launch.

There were two models of the Etios present, a hatchback in stunning Blue and a regular sedan in White. I was personally floored by the hatchback.

Besides the Etios launch and their currently production vehicles, Toyota also showcased their personal mobility vehicles and their versatility and as is the case with most major manufacturers, a whole new concept car.

Good! But I am pretty sure that you have not seen the Etios!

No!Its basically designed for the Indian Market .Comes with 1.2 Ltr engine as our govt has reduced the excise duty for cars with engine upto 1200cc

To me it looks like a rip off of Honda City(from the front) ,nice car indeed...

May be it will cost around 5-7 lacs...Maybe more..like Fabia does!

From the point of view of launches the TVS stall had nothing new to offer. But that did not make the stall any less interesting. Firstly, the stall was very aesthetically made. Further, they had put up a concept quad which TVS believes will be the vehicle of the future, as a personal leisure and alternative motorsport vehicle! This quad, designed and built in-house at TVS as a concept is called the Hammerhead! They had also put up their winning TVS Racing 160cc, 27bhp bike which makes a top speed of 160kmph! Also present was another winning bike from the monocross event.

pls pls if any tvs guys who see this pls pls what is the use of the concept pls dont tell it will come in future already we have seen what happ to the taurus and other tvs concept bikes in 2006 and 08 auto expo ! quad lol what are we going to do with it here ? i dono god save tvs !

i like ET!OS but it is still only about 70-80% production ready...the production model will look a little different and i don't think it will be so attractive when they gonna remove all those muscle lines, the alloys, the inner part of the car is gonna face hell lot of changes and u can imagine the end product will kinda look like Maruti A-star or Ritz!
