The engine might be dummy for the displayed bike... But there were leaked images where bike was being tested on roads
testing is a near production phase IMO

I am sure you have seen these spy-shots floating over the Internet for last few months. It obviously looks like the Pulsar SS400. And CS400 as told by Bajaj representative in the video will be launched next year but the SS400 is to come this year. And why do they need dummy engine? They already have KTM390's engine. They are anyways going to use the bottom half of that engine as in the case of Pulsar 200NS.

Phew. I did say that P400SS will be launched later this year.. please check the post i posted earlier I just said, the model they showcased in AutoExpo is a dummy model. As for CS400, it was never found testing. All the pics that we have are of newer version of P200NS.. if you guys have the pic of the spied CS400, please share them.

                  Re: AE14: Bajaj Pulsar CS400 and SS400

                  1. From the attention to details on CS I don't think it's a concept. It looks more like pre-production model. Hastur is a concept. It has an empty aluminium dabba for an engine.

                  2. We know that the 375cc engine which CS is going to use is ready and in the production already.

                  3. Most of the stuff displayed in autoexpo is dummy. There is no point to keep the real stuff out there as expos are for display purpose only.

                  4. Console is showing random figures as the bike electricals are running in demo mode. Same goes for intermittently running headlights, taillamps, indicators etc.

                  5. Whenever 'Bajaj says' they are aiming for Diwali of 2015, what they really mean is Diwali of 2017.

                  6. R. Bajaj said they'd be launching 2 pulsars in 2013 and I think - CS400 & SS400 - are those 2 pulsars. We had speculated that one would be FF 200 and the other would be sub 200. How stupid we are, we seriously underestimate Bajaj (Everytime).

                  7. R. Bajaj said they'd be launching 6 pulsars + dukes this year. We know clearly about 1)CS400 2)SS400 3)RC390. We also know they are testing two sub 200cc pulsars, so assuming 4)180 5)150. So what's the sixth bike? It's the question of millennium because the answer is going to break the heart of tons of people. What's the sixth bike? There are only two options > 200ss or RC200. My sixth sense telling me it's RC200 which will be buried in India. Not counting Duke 690 (because it's as much irrelevant as RC8 and Bajaj doesn't hype/count the bikes that are irrelevant like RC8, Z1000 etc etc.)

                    Re: AE14: Bajaj Pulsar CS400 and SS400

Most of the machines placed on display platforms are generally controlled by RCN which is generally centralized by the exibitor as per his display scheme. This is done to avoid any unwanted accident that might occur while some is trying to test or see the features. There are some strict guidelines on how conditions, display methods and automobile state in AutoExpo, though many dont follow it. One such this guidelines is not to have any fuel in the vehicles for safety and fire hazards reasons, but then many times its overlooked.

See the given below video, where you can see a remote person controlling / automated display of the lights of CS400 in a given routine.

I'm sorry I no longer live in 2001-2002.

At present Bajaj models arrive a year late.

There is direct link between this BMW and this Pulsar.
                              Can anyone tell me?

I want to see who knows it? Google as much you like, just tell me. Even take a guess.
                              Please I'm getting bored.
