re: AE14: Bajaj Auto at the Auto Expo 2014

History repeats, the handle bar is very much same as it was for 2001 Pulsar 180cc (not 150cc)

And somehow feel red has been pulsar color of launch

Pulsar 400CS takes the cake, absolutely wow.. head on front look is absolutely brutish, kind of making a statement "Back off". On the other hand 400SS also looks quite well done, but I think many people are going to fall for 400CS. For a change swing arm got a decent design this time, I just wish they trickle it down to lower displacement pulsars.

My God I am astounded after seeing the Pulsar 400 SS and the CS. When Hero unveiled the HXR 250, I though Hero had finally caught up with Bajaj in the game, only to find Bajaj had kicked the lampposts kilometers away
While the CS is a little grown-up-brutish, the 400 SS is mindblowingly awesome. The name Bumblebee couldnt have been more perfect
I think the 400 SS would be priced at par with the Duke 390, given so much extra material costs (full fairing vs. naked) in production. Now we need a review to find out how much is ride/handling impaired compared to its Duke cousin

hahaha... think they wanted to merge a supersports feel with a easy rider riding position... also its a clamp on long two piece... could possibly lead to vibrations.

But they have certainly hit the sweet spot with a couple of 400s... Its where the market is edging to... half liter bikes... I do think that the fully faired version has a slightly overworked design straight out of Transformers... but if performance numbers and balance can take over the conversation, then transformers is bound to be background talk. Stupid question: Is the engine indigenous or sourced tech? Its the D390 engine is it?

Whatever said, Bajaj has been brave and enterprising to extend their foray into the world middle weight segment... this surely gives me hope about their development and future launches as an Indian Brand.

And I think they'll price it somewhere near the Suzuki Inzuma price... highly doubt if these will be sold at 1.7 or 1.8.

the CS400 for sure. I'm not convinced the SS400 is the best the can do tho.
the front of the SS400 looks like those two irritatingly yappy "black" talking robots from transformers.

anyway. all bajaj needs to do is launch the CS400. the can have my money.

CS Looks well balanced where as SS over done.

PS: At least they could have tightened the chain of CS before displaying it. Looks like Old Habits never die :P

Faired 400 is overworked.:what: The front fairing shud be made simpler. Mid & rear design is ok.

The rear loks great. I have one word for the front(head on and side): GARISH.
IT's like one of those gaanv wali aunties who wear too much jewellery thinking she'll standout more than the fake urban cats!! Thumbs down.
In fact to be honest the 200NS front is a bit overdone too(too many cuts), but overall it looked fetching.

This looks a bit aftermarket done by an enthusiastic MV Brutale/Rivale fan!!
