Re: AE14: Bajaj Auto at the Auto Expo 2014
No. 400 CS is not a concept. It is also a production ready prototype AFAIK. And If my sources are right, they claim, these bikes are not mass manufacturing kind and we will see the first lot of the bike on roads in Maharastra and then gradually as like 200NS. Seems like BAL likes to keep a premium tag for the bike meaning the SVC that does the KTM bikes and Ninjas will (only?!) be given the service training for this beast.Originally posted by BiKeLovER View PostYou have heard of me, But you don't know me. Re: AE14: Bajaj Auto at the Auto Expo 2014
my sources are telling that the cs version will come first and no no to the ss version God knows what is going to happen. Let the time pass then we will come to know the exact what we will be getting first in the hand.Originally posted by BiKeLovER View PostCorrect me If I am wrong but CS is still a Concept and not launching anytime soon.
Where as SS is production ready and will be launched sometime this year.
well pune people will see this bike first as what ever bike or car well pune is the main hub where they launch every machine first over there then anywhere else.Originally posted by shylesh View PostNo. 400 CS is not a concept. yes the cs version is ready when it will come god knows.
touch wood. let them grow like this and give us good products but the prices should be less so that everyone can buy it.Originally posted by prads.cs View PostBajaj already setting new standards aggressively for performance motorcycles in India ...... good one.Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostAlright. Alright. Second bike in the world. (Ducatis headlights are only partially LED)
also learnt from the internet of the headlights of the vehicle
Those stunning new headlights are an eight piece unit. While that bit of information is pretty evident, what’s not, is that Bajaj have employed two different technologies in different sections of that headlamp assembly. While the two central units are HIDs, the surrounding six pieces are lit by LED technology.

Re: AE14: Bajaj Auto at the Auto Expo 2014
Well someone back mentioned that both multistrada and panigale had LED headlight. So searched on this and found multistrada has a conventional lamp for high beam. I thought it would be same for panigale too.Originally posted by Doga View PostThe Panigale S and Panigale S tricolour sport full LED headlamps.

from @arjunB25 post it seems third position for full LED headlamp bike is vacant.
Leave it. I'm seriously mad at 'auto journalists'. No matter what website they are from, all they do is take some photos and copy paste the feature sheet provided by the company. They see the real thing from just 1 foot away and still can't deduce one single thing out of it.
I've utterly no idea why they want to keep mum when we are struggling to make out the details from photos.
They could have told us that main headlight was HID.
They could have told us that bike had dual console.
They could have told us stuff like tyre profiles, front shocks, ABS, approx raking angle, indicator type, approx seating posture, disk brake size + 100s of things.
On half of the websites, auto journalists said the bike had 400cc engine.
I think these journalist were data entry operators once.

Re: AE14: Bajaj Auto at the Auto Expo 2014
90% of the reviews and other articles you find on those automotive websites are written by freelancers who barely knows anything about vehicles. I know I have written many reviews on various motorcycles without even riding them. They take some photos and give us the info, and we write it.
This reminds me of one of the well-received article I wrote years ago, it was about 10 most pleasurable sexual positions one can try. Well, I'm still virgin, hell, I've never been in a relationship with any one. That sums up the credibility of those articles, I guess
Back on topic, those headlamps do not have any glare which is unusual with HIDs. Well, we can not tell anything till one of us goes out and checks out the bike in person.
MG I guess you are in the expo, could you take a look and inform us about the headlamp?I am back!

Most reports announced, all Indians want is photos of new bikes and the cc.
It was painful to read some decent sites this time.
Three most painful for me were,
1. A site claimed both ss and CS have same swing arm.
2. A sentence: " we are wondering why endurance logo is there on the wp forks on CS "
3. Another sentence : "Only concern we have with swing arm on CS is the wedding mark towards the end "
I don't remember which site it was but, all are ridiculously mediocre statements.
Reporter have no ability to distinguish between swingarms. We can even do that from photos they posts!
Reporters don't even know that endurance is making wp forks under license.
Third example is a plain case of lack of experience. Looking at some superbikes will help.
Any way Indian auto journalism is at a laughable level now.
I agree.

These are NO Journos.. they are "Bloggers": with an internet connection, a laptop, some free time and an Opinion.
By the way, the 3rd line is a funny.
