The bike allegedly belonged to Harish (Bking's friend)Originally posted by MT01 View PostGuys, this thing is not clear to me.
Whose bike is it?
Bking's or the guy who has posted the ad.
Who wants 3.10 lakh + rest of money back.
Why has the guy posted the ad when he doesnt want to sell it?
What exactly is the dispute?
Then allegedly he sold it to Shabeer. (who currently has the bike in his posession)
Harish allegedly wants the rest of the money for the bike he sold to Shabeer.
He doesn't want the bike back. He just wants the rest of his money.
And Shabeer doesn't want the bike anymore since it's allegedly on the DRI dirty list.
so he's filed an FIR against Harish for allegedly duping him by selling him a bike with fake customs clearance papers.
pls note that Harish has also filed an FIR against Shabeer accusing him of stealing his bike.
Shabeer's friend didn't post an ad (allegedly)... he posted a warning for potential buyers.
i don't see this thread serving any relevant purpose anymore...
except for the extremely hilarious turn of events since my question to Bking on Friday.
and i seriously don't think don't think Bking will be back here.
I think i'm going to call Shabeer... buy the bike off him.
(the poor guy's been terrified of the bike being confiscated by the DRI)
paint it matt black and do a few sprints down Palm Beach post midnight.
cleanest 600cc ever!

Whoa. This is a real life movie. So it all comes down to what fast ferocious put it as:
We wait for the climax of the movie.
One thing I noticed, Bking mentioned in his first post that his friend has already launched an FIR. If so what has been done about it? This has been running for quite sometime. Is there any FIR number or something? If so Bking needs to post it and someone (I don't know who can) needs to authenticate it.
Also his join date for xbhp is 10th of July 2008. He's started a thread in the help me section to find a used superbike on the 27th of July 2010. And he's posted about this fiasco on the 19th of August 2010. So in under one month his friend lost his sbk to a conman.
Also he's got just 17 posts under his belt. So it looks like he came to xbhp for digging information.
Bking, we all await a reply. You get the point?? :D

well... i'm assuming that alleged FIR is just a scare tactic by Bking's friend to make the duped buyer (Shabeer) pay the rest of the money.Originally posted by svjhonda View PostOne thing I noticed, Bking mentioned in his first post that his friend has already launched an FIR. Harish has no interest in taking his CBR back even if the cash is returned.
(which says a lot)
and Bking's post-count & content is the exact reason why i brought up all these questions in the first place..

Dispute is non-payment of cash (by buyer) and suppression of information regarding the legality of the bike (by seller). Aadhi baat, aadhi rakam

As far as I'm concerned, the buyer is at fault. He should have checked the legality of the bike BEFORE he paid up money, and reached a deal. The rule of caveat emptor exists in India as well
Since the thread starter has located the bike (sort of), and now that more facts are out in the open, this thread is locked.
The murky world of grey market bikes still continues I'm afraid

a doubt....
a bike in grey market does not have the duties paid so does that mean that their registration is also illegal and those numbers are actually registered in some other bike's name????Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009
Optimus: Red Mahindra XUV500 W8 FWD 2013
Atom: Red Tata Nano XTA 2016
Pumba: Red Harley Street 750

More or less the story here is very much similar to a crime thriller movies with different twists & turns. There are two parties here blaming each other & demanding for our trust. But they both are giving a different stories from different perspectives & add to that the TS is also missing. WTH is going on??NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT
