    Do you keep the bike idle for long? I was told by the dealer and many friends that the Ducs aren't very kind to the battery. If its idle for more than 5 days, it tends to start losing the volts. In that case, you can buy a battery tender which is very much useful if you happen to keep the bike idle for long. If this issue is not due to the long idle period, hook up the bike to a DDS and you should be able to get the root cause. Do keep us updated on the same.

      @Kallan- Hey bro, a late congratulations for the monster. Looks amazing with the (B&R) color combo. Hope you clock miles on the wonderful piece of engineering. BTW its nice to know a person who has a humble and calm attitude towards life.

        Thank you Sandeep, I appreciate your kind words. It is indeed an amazing piece of art. Also, the potential customization possibilities seem to keep the design very open to interpretation. Gives riders an opportunity to express individual aesthetics. One is riding a Ducati in mumbai and further more, your need to further stick out of the Ducati "crowd", is also a possibility
        Anyway, there is a bike rally organized by the good folks at Ducati at Wilson College, Mumbai. hope to meet more Xbhpians there :-)

            its happening this sunday, 21st august 2011.. imjoshee :-) come along for the ride yo..i have put up a post with all the information but the moderators havent approved it yet. Hope they approve and more people come for the rally. its for a good cause..so more the merrier :-)
            rally will flag off at 2.30pm..lots of activity and lots of celebs coming to promote their films...they never miss the chance for promotion :-)

            I hear the performance racing gang would also be there...

              Oil Leaking from the engine.

              Folks,

              Monster is leaking engine oil, I've setup an appoitment this saturday with the dealer, i am heart broke, I hope its something minor.

              (I checked to see if OIL FILTER is the culprit and it wasn't, it was leaking from the right side casing, from one of the screws, I did not want to tighten it and void any warranty, since there is torque measure)

              There will be some delay in my ownership report, pls pardon me.

                I'm unhappy to read about this. I also hope it is a minor issue. I read about another person having a similar problem in america. It was a loose nut for him.
                Do let us all know about your experience. Where are you located ya? don't worry about the delay. Take your time. Hope the monster gets well soon..best of luck enthu..

                    Wilson Bike Rally 21st Aug 2011

                    My wife and myself just came back from the Wilson College Bike rally..had fun riding with so many different performance bikers. The love was enormous from Umar Pathan and the Wilson college organizers.
                    Wish more Ducati riders were there though. Maybe next time guys..right? Pictures and full review shall come soon..real soon..Thanks Ducati...Thanks Aditi Dadhich..great effort..

                          Monster is back!

                          Monster Buddies,
                          Good Morning, here is the update on Oil Leak issue.
                          Monster was at the dealership for few days, dealer determined the oil leak from the right side case. Ordered the replacement part (Gasket and necessary liquid sealent)
                          Monster is back but did not expect such an issue, little heartbroken. Glad that the folks at the dealership covered all under warranty.

                              Dealer opened the engine and replaced the right side gasket and liquid sealent. Its looking fine than before. However did not expect this issue.
