In Ajmer, there are 8-10 Superbikes. Some of them confirmed are :-->

1 Kawasaki Ninja ZX 12R/ 14R (some old model I think Red/ Black Color Combo)

3 Yamaha R1s (All Grey Market, NOT the CBU models)

and 1 Honda CBR 1000 (this too is an old model, maybe the F4i) ...

and there are many more, but people refrain from talking about these, don't know why?

There will be atleast 5000 SBK's in India. Considering the fact that bikes are been Imported for decades and now day a small city like Jalandhar (where I live) have more than 20 SBK's.

500 units of BMW f650's were sold in India by Hero group.

Pune must atleast have bikes in the hundreds. Atleast 300 for sure including everything. And I am more then sure that Kolhapur one single person possesses atleast 30 of them. Even in my homeland Daman & Silvassa there are atleast 10 of these things. I think the #1 spot is a fight between Bombay and Bangy but I am not sure about Bangy as never saw many bikes there. Pune sure has a hell lotta bikes. I can count more then 50 right now in my vicinity.

But whats the purpose of this thing sunny? Market Survey
Locking the front and flipping is the worst experience you could err experience.

Yes, it must have been the ZX 12R ... Red & Black color & very long wheelbase. Looked a Giant to my Indian Eyes ...

Reg. CBR F4i, I just saw it parked somewhere, near a Shopping Centre ... couldn't identify it correctly, but it was a Honda CBR for sure ...

The f4i was trhe last street version of the CBR 600 that ran parallel to the CBR 600 RR till a short while ago.
If it was a CBR 1000, it would have read CBR1000F, post which Honda introduced the CBR 1100 XX aka Blackbird.

I see. Well, all I noticed was that it had the "CBR" name. and it looked big, could have been litre class. Also, it was way too old a model, not in good condition too. Anyways, that's all OT we talking...

There I have seen some R1, CBR, Busas and GIXXER in Aurangabad but there are two CBR 400 and one GIXXER 1000 which I see Regularly.

BTW I think sunny has asked this question to decide about the Trip.

Bangy guys can get a rough figure separately from Joe & Irshad, as majority of the grey market SBKs do visit them. Also heard there is another mechanic near Jayanagar or Lal Bagh.

Just finished the census count of SBK's in India
