Not just that Busa, but I remember there was a guy who had a hornet 600, this am talking about a couple years ago.

Besides when the BMW f650 was launched at least there were 5 of those sold in Cal. Those were the days back in school when I used to dream of having 1 such bike for myself.

Time to clear some confusions now about Kolkata...it is a fact that Kolkata has very few SBKs in comparison to other major cities but its not that there is none at all....most of the SBKs here are illegal imports...i do know about one guy(first Busa owner in Calcutta i guess) who had his illegal busa serviced in Park Circus area..he was a petrol pump owner n used to park his bike inside a AC room ....then during the launch of the R15,an official blue R1 was sold to a guy staying in the Em bypass area(i happened to see the bike being ridden by the engineer whixh was later confirmed from the showroom also)....Most of the Busa owners are from the park circus area...thos who want to spot these bikes have to be a regular vagabond at night time on the city streets like me on certain roads like Rajarhat,New town,salt lake,park circus,AJC bose flyover(favourite place of all Calcutta riders),Park street flyover apart from the nearby Durgapur Expressway which is a pure bliss..i have myslef seen at least 4 different busas n many more R1s....there are 2 BMW F650s also....



dude the name of the place is "Southern Avenue" n not "Sardarn Avanue"..hehehe..dnt mind...
but by the way i stay in Southern Avenue only and that too near kalibari...i dont recollect any guy by that name though i did hear about some gud mechanic staying somehwere in the area...one guy in our area owned a BMW F650(not sure whether he still has it)....i had come to know of few SBK mechanics like Chotu,Javed and Munna...heard Chotu is a very gud mech...i have personally met Javed..he stays and works in Park Circus near Don Bosco school...he regularly services a guy's F650..spotted it with him numerous times.....so he might be able to hook up with a good mech for other SBKs also...right now i am out of Calcutta but whn i come back in June,then i l try to find out more.....

Well 5 years back when I was in college in Cochin, I had seen a Ninja and a CBR parked at Marine drive.
Also seen an oldish guy riding from Alwaye into the city on a Harley !

I dont think trivandrum has many SBKs. AFAIK ive seen 1 R1 n also a busa(is in the garage for the past 1 yr or so, due to some mechanical problem), else i havnt seen any

my friend with him who i bought my R1 told me that tvm has the most number of SBK's in kerala....i guess there should be some in calicut region...do u have any idea how many there will be in cochin and trichur??

Indian athlete Pinki Pramanik has bought a black R1 in Kolkata. I guess she should be the first female in India to own a R1. she now rides a R15. The bike is already at the showroom and is ready for delivery.
