As of now none. The only mods that I am willing to try is the exhaust + power commander mod. I have screwed my Fiero's engine a lot with engine mods, so the exhaust mod is the only mod that I am willing to try. I feel I might get tired of the exhaust note on the highway.

Between, I had never seen what speeds she could do in the first two gears.

1st Gear at 10K rpm == around 80 kmph
2nd Gear at 10K rpm == around 120 kmph.

Never checked the rest as I found it very dangerous to keep an eye on the speedo.

I am also planning for a Slip-on but am apprehensive about the after-effects on the engine. So not taking the plunge.

And yes the 650 makes power very linearly but with brute force. The way it pulls from 2nd while shifting to 3rd after redlining is outworldly crazy for a 72 PS machine.

PS: I have ripped a 1800cc Intruder so can tell the difference!!

in case u try any after market exhaust, the following is 'recommended'
1. fuel mapping management system [power commander, juice box etc.]
2. O2 eliminator / sensor [in case ur exhaust already doesnt have one built-in]
3. pair valve fix

Dont worry buddy, I too have been through the same phase as you are going through and I can understand your state of mind. See I am already 35 and I want to live my life to the fullest, tomorrow I shouldnt feel that I should have done this, that etc.

Have booked a N650 2017 model KRT edition in July, waiting

still for the bike. Maybe in September Kawasaki will start delivering the KRT editions models.

Went through a lot of threads but have not replied to any but that I am planning to change.

Have covered around 67000+ km on my 2012 CBR 2012 ABS before i decided to upgrade. So, i think its time people know my journey as well..

It sucks to wait for the bike.. the KRT is on high demand, 3 months is the waiting period on that one. I was given a delivery date of November for the KRT edition and 15days for the black one.

I personally preferred the black one.. but hey the wait would be worth it. KRT has been selling like hot cakes everywhere, mine was the 45th N650 in Bangalore and 3rd one in black so 42/45 bikes are requested in KRT paint scheme.. just imagine the demand and only one factory in Pune making all 5-6 models for Kawasaki.

I heard they are planning to open a second assembly line in Pune by the 4 the quarter ,that would eventually double the production capacity of Kawasaki.
