    21K? That is double than the international pricing, hope they price it more reasonable in coming months.

    Looking at your numbers, I have four more months and 4K to go before replacement.

      As of now, the tyre thing is never going to be their main business so I don't think they will do any competitive pricing.

      The mileage purely depends on riding style. We've a guy here in Bangalore whose Daytona's tyres (Supercorsa, even softer) lasted 11500 kms.

        Agreed, riding style does matter. Planning for a ride to my hometown this Diwali, which will be 500Km one way with no or just couple of short brakes, expecting tyre to chew up more due to consistent high temperature.

          You had any luck finding a rear hugger/fender that can actually prevent water being thrown over you from the back? I looked at a few and there is not much option out there. One, the triumph's own rear hugger, which doesn't do much in preventing spray. Then there is a company carbon4u, not sure how good that is in accomplishing the task.


          Looks like you already have the Triumph rear hugger fitted. How is that in preventing water spray on to the rider?

            I had the stock fender but as I mentioned in the earlier post, I modified it to make it even worse in doing its job but it looks better now.

            I mostly avoid riding in rains except city commute which sometimes becomes unavoidable. I ride dead slow whenever I see water and for the next 25 meters so never really cared about it. Sorry, couldn't help you here buddy.

                I have the Triumph hugger and it is completely useless. All the muck gets sprayed onto the pillion seat and from what I have researched, no other hugger does a better job weither. We'll just have to live with it

                  Thanks guys! Saved me about 8k on the OEM hugger. Riding in rain is a major part of my ride habit, i'll continue looking at the international forums. Another drawback at finding the accessories is that the Striple new model is less than two years old!

                    I think the hugger you are talking about is the one that fits near the suspension (I may be wrong). That one still helps to keep the suspension cleaner than without it. Even that isn't super helpful though, just a tiny bit.

                      Ya you're right, it sits at the far edge of the tyre near the suspension. It does protect the suspension from muc but if its not going to protect the rider then there is no point in riding the bike in wet, which renders the hugger useless

                            Is that the top speed you could manage on yout street triple?
                            And also how much did you manage when the bike was stock?

                            Asking this just to evaluate how much the powerloss on papers translated to on road performance

                                Street triple is still the best in it's class, but triumph India has damaged its credibility a little by doing this is what I meant to say. Also this information may help someone who is still deciding between STR and Z800. No offence
