    Sorry to see this happen to your bike bro. No matter however much you try to ride safe there are enough morons present on the road that you are never truly safe.

        Hi everyone, any leads for a shop that does inyl wraps kind of stickering work? (preferably near Koramangala)

        I'm planning to get both the fairings covered in carbon fiber or matt black vinyl wrap. That'll take care of the scratched fairing & keep me happy for the time being.

          Really sorry to see that, it really hurts to see such a lovely machine getting damaged due to the mistake of some moron. Our Indian roads are filled with such idiots, we need to be extra cautious and vigilant while riding.

            I've learnt my lesson. I've to be extra careful handling this machine around the city.

            Anyway, I'm going to get both the fairings carbon fibre vinyl wrapped in the next week. Will post the pics once I get that job done.

              Bought this handlebar mount a while back. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E5QAMK8. Holds on pretty well at high speeds (tested till 190 kmph) . It has a quick release lock so it's an advantage.



              If any one is wondering why my bike is so dirty, in my defense, a dog tore my bike's cover a week back.

                I was just wondering if this would have been better... it could fit on the handlebar, next to your mirror...

                  Even mine can be mounted on the sides, next to the mirror. Will try it that way next time. The best part I find is, I can attach/remove it within a few seconds & it accommodates my Galaxy Note 3 (5.95 x 3.12 x 0.33 in) just fine. The one you linked, my phone won't fit in that.

                  No, I didn't go for the ride to Chikmagalur. I jerked my right wrist during the accident which started paining the next day. I still have a little pain but I hope I'll be fine in a few days.

                      Regarding the fairing that cracked & got scratched, surprisingly the new one costs only ₹3200. I've ordered a new one instead of trying to hide it with paint/vinyl wrap.

                          I have a random question regarding the bike. Can you start the engine with the side stand out? I thought I read somewhere that clutch needs to be depressed, side stand up, kill switch on, only then it'll let you start the engine. However on the test bike, I could start it without the side stand up, however it won't start without the clutch depressed.

                            Most SBK will start with side stand down as they need engine warm up everyday on first start. so it will be very uncomfortable if it wont start while stand down and you need to seat on bike till it gets warmed up.

                            My Ninja 1000 wont start when bike is in gear and side stand is down even if i use clutch(which make sense), i am not sure about street triple but you can try this.

                              Basically what @anilaphale says. To add to that, in Street Triple, you need to pull the clutch to start the bike (even when in Neutral). But, even pulling the clutch won't help in starting the bike if the bike is in first gear. As a safety feature, the bike's engine shuts off if you try to shift to first gear with side stand down.
