Oh. It feels really bad when we have to face because of somebodies mistake. Hope you are ok.Originally posted by shadyabhi View PostWas just passing the signal and suddenly a guy with scooty in the right-most lane decided to take a left turn. I was on the left side of right lane.
And this happened!

Scratches on the fairing, cracked at one place & black paint chipped off of the side of radiator.
It wasn't my fault. My life sucks!

And the price of the part seems fine too.
Do you have a Triumph fly screen fitted?

Re: [Bangalore] Meet my new possession: Triumph Street Triple in Phantom Black
Sorry guys for late replies. Was out of Bangalore for some work & didn't get time to check the messages. Came back to Bangalore after 2 weeks and went for a very short ride to Nandi hills. (Daytona, FZ1 and my Street Triple)
Here you go. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/members/...adventure.htmlOriginally posted by aravind.rrao View PostI would like to see the pics too :-)

I'm good. Regarding the practicality, it's a bike you can ride everyday. Maintenance is also cheap(er) & parts don't cost a fortune. Spares for Street Triple isn't a big problem but they still take 15-30 days to arrive.Originally posted by kkamaleshh View PostHi abhi how are you and your ride??test rode the street triple on Saturday and fully satisfied and mesmerised. I don't have the flyscreen fitted. I''m still confused about the flyscreen as I think it spoils the naked and raw look of Street Triple. I've not added more accessories yet. Plan to do so soon as and when I've the sufficient funds for another set of upgrades.Originally posted by kochumvk View PostOh. It feels really bad when we have to face because of somebodies mistake. Hi Abhi,
Nice bike! I'm planning to get one too. just wanted to ask about the tires. How soft are those tires!? i mean, are those cracks in the rubber in the rear wheel (1st lot of pics u put up) normal?I wish I could ride every where i go..

Re: [Bangalore] Meet my new possession: Triumph Street Triple in Phantom Black
The tyres are Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa & and they're medium (or hard?) in the center and soft on the sides. Not sure exactly what crack are you referring to but yes, I got a crack or two on my rear tyre due to broken glass on roads. The broken glass pieces cut the rubber and settle inside the tyre rubber. I found about the broken glass when I took the tyre for a puncture repair.Originally posted by Road Runner View PostHi Abhi,

They are like one of the best all round tyres so they are sufficiently soft but not as soft as SuperCorsa. It's like a performance vs durability kind of thing.

Diabolo rosso corsa is a dual compound tire. Only softer road legal pirelli is diabolo suprrcorsa sp. They are for the tracks comes standard on daytonas.
Now that puts street triple tires as second softest among pirelli road tires.
I felt it very good.

Hi guys, sorry for the silence. Either something came up or the booze from previous night avoided me from going to group rides. I mostly did quick solo rides during past few weeks.
However, went to Yellagiri hills today with a friend of mine. The route till Jolarpet was damn fast and it was fun making those highway fast sweeping turns at 180+kmph speeds. Most turns on actual ghat road are pretty slow and not fun but still managed to find few good corners.
My favorite from today:

I've to improve my posture. A track day will help, I'm sure.

Planning to go for track day next month to get that last half centimeter used on the tyre.

(Pls don't curse me for oil on the rim, I did the chain lubrication just before the ride and it got all messed up)
