Re: [Bangalore] Meet my new possession: Triumph Street Triple in Phantom Black
I just wore it once at around 5pm (35 degrees) and in heavy traffic. I won't lie, even thought it's perforated, it wasn't breathable at all. (in slow speed traffic). I felt hot, too much to make you continuously sweat throughout the ride. But, it's not like I won't wear it again, it wasn't too bad. (You know how that works :P ). I'll let you know about my experience after I do 1-2 weekend rides where I ride in all kinds of speeds.Originally posted by cbr250 View PostMan that riding gear looks so good. I liked it

About the mudguard, I'll do it when I go for the Arrow exhaust upgrade next month.

Re: [Bangalore] Meet my new possession: Triumph Street Triple in Phantom Black
Hi everyone, did my first ride after 1.5 months last weekend. Went to Kudremukh via Hassan, did a night stay & returned via Uppinangady->Sakleshpur->Bangalore.
While returning, specially the part from Uppinangady to Sakleshpur, I did the most fun I've ever had on the bike. I wasn't going full on track position and knee scraping but I'm happy that I get to use my boot's sliders.
. After few turns & having some satisfaction with shoe scraping, I changed my position to more track-like, use toes on the foot pegs etc so that I don't scrape my boots on all turns. Now, the next level is using my knee sliders.
I don't have track experience yet but still I got a lot of confidence in leaning the bike. This Uppinangady to Sakleshpur at some stretches has very wide turns where you have full visibility of the oncoming traffic. That inspires confidence and makes you want to ride your bike hard.
The guy I went with rode a D390 and used to go into a different zone where only thing he wanted was ride the bike really hard. lol. He almost never wanted to stop & so I don't have many pics of the ride.
My bike!
This is me advertising Alpinestars for free
(HJC RPHA 10+ Lorenzo Replica, Alpinestars Atem Perforated Jacket, Astars SP2 gloves, Astar GP Plus leather pants, Astar SMX Plus boots, even Astar balaclava :P )
So, after wearing full leather in the trip of around 350kms + 420 kms, it's not hot to ride even during afternoon hours. The problem only starts when you stop on the road or there's traffic.
My jacket is perforated so it might have helped too. In all, I'll wear leathers for all my rides. It adds a lot of protection than my textile jackets & it's not too hot either. (when riding the bike at 40-50kmph+ speeds)

Bought Rjays paddock stand for cleaning chain. Here is how it looks. The quality looks good.

Bought it from Bachoo Motors (Mumbai ). That guy's online website is not very sleek but I did a direct NEFT transfer and the whole transaction went smooth.

I see universal race stand written on it, so you have to welcome bikers of all brands for lubing and not only triumphOriginally posted by shadyabhi View PostHow about tomorrow morning?

Sure, why not! Bring some donuts while coming (just kidding :P)Originally posted by Adarsh_Bk View PostI see universal race stand written on it, so you have to welcome bikers of all brands for lubing and not only triumph

And yes, its adjustable and will also work on bikes that doesn't have spools.
