first 150 to 200 kms with the new tyre be careful, also if you observe since u r moving from less powerful bikes, be a little careful for first few 1000 miles

i would say u have done the perfect choice in choosing the street triple, its one of my fav bikes, best sounding engine

i would encourage you to get rizoma mirrors and handle bar , also a tail tidy is a great mod along with R&G engine and suspension as well as frame guard

Thanks for the concern, I'll be careful. Frankly, with the current RPM limit, 5k, I'm quite comfortable with the bike. Also, I'm not rolling the throttle like crazy in a fear of crossing the rev-limit.

I already had tail tidy as one of the unofficial accessories in mind. For official Triumph accessories, I have already asked for price quote of mostly protection related accessories and here is the screenshot from the dealership's email.

thats great mate, go in for tail tidy, fork protector, frame protector and cover protector ( i am assuming this is engine protector)and u may look at the link i gave u for anything else u like

would recommend u to keep a wd40 bottle handy for cleaning dirt of the silencer and other parts as well as lubrication, skip the paint protector that u can manage yourself by polishing bike

Nice nice nice. So these guys will stock all accessories from the portfolio shown on their website?

Any idea about the price of arrow slipon and rear pack?

Machined aluminium parts looks great too.

Sidi vortice or st in greenish yellow will go well with your bike and helmet

Any place where I can find wd40 (couldn't find a reliable online store)? I earlier had a crappy bike so never really cared about paint/rust on the bike. What do you suggest for regular bike cleaning and polish?

I'm not sure about readily available stock but they surely can get you anything you want. It's just that they are not making the price list public for some reason.

I'll get you the price for arrow slip-on and rear pack by this weekend.

You will get at a good hardware store, specially use in rains to prevent rusting of nuts and bolts, though they would be using steel, also the end pipes silencer get dirty and develop spots of tar, so wd40 is good, but ensure that the bike is completely cold before u start doing anything. also do not cover the bike till it gets cold, this means when u park, leave it open for a few hours and then come back again and cover it if needed

It's sad, on my morning ride to Krishnagiri today, I had to do hard braking & had a feeling like while pressing the rear brake lever, somewhere there was a metal to metal contact and felt a little vibration in the rear brake lever. Not sure how that happened. I wasn't able to reproduce the issue but while having very slow speed, rear brake made sounds a few times (like a old bike's brakes).

Could be something related to brake pad not being properly placed or something. I've no clue. I'm in a dilemma whether I should get it checked today or I should wait till Friday after I do 2 more morning rides to get 800km on the odo for the first servicing.

Other than that, the bike is doing awesome.

If you are not able to reproduce then better wait, i don't think its anything major.

I have had a similar problem before and since there are no TST owners other than you, I think i should chip in

The brake assembly in my case was a bit loose which allowed a bit of play between the assembly and the swingarm, under heavy breaking. This play is felt as feedback to your foot. This would normally be solved if the rear axle nut is tightened in case of the duke

It is mostly the ABS kicking in

at least the vibration which you mentioned must be ABS.

It will clearly tell you the need for running in the brakes, tyres and various aspects of owning a superbike.

I really don't think it's the ABS. I understand what you're saying, the repetitive release/engagement of brakes. By my massive experience of watching youtube videos, I don't think it's that. Anyways, will get that checked tomorrow & update here.
