Flyscreen and bellypan will take a good 30-45 days.

Honestly, I don't know. I bought it because personally I feel that the bike looks a lot better with that. EDIT: It looks like it covers though.

That doesn't look like the OEM belly pan, but a third-party one.

Oops. My main upgrade from that set was just Arrow. The other 2 I bought just because I feel like buying something else :P. Jokes apart, I didn't do much research before buying the other two accessories. I'm going to showroom tomorrow, will let you know if that covers the coolant tank from bottom.

So guys, I got the arrows installed and it's mind blowing. Riding with stock exhaust for 6 months and then doing the upgrade was worth it. It's like I've a new excitement in life

Before talking about the new exhaust, lets talk about what low ground clearance with the pillion does to the bike. The metal part that covers exhaust from the bottom was totally scratched.




Karthik at Triumph dealership who was installing the arrow exhaust said that the new exhaust increases the ground clearance a little bit, lets see how that goes.

The inner tube is the db-killer which was removed even before I took the bike out of the showroom. Removing the db-killer is a very simple task and hardly takes 2 minutes.




I'm not very familiar with video editing tools so hence you can find these 2 separate videos for comparision. Both videos are shot with my Note 3 in almost the same conditions.

Difference in exhaust note: The new exhaust has a lot of bass in the RPM range 3k to 6k and that is so awesome. With the stock exhaust, there was literally no bass (like inline 4s). It has changed my riding style a bit. Earlier, I used to go full-on 12-13k RPMs in the city during my commute to listen to that music but I keep the revs low and still have the same fun (and attention seeking :P )

Congrats for the upgrade man, It sound so melodies & soft with stock exhaust and now with arrow its totally bliss to ears...

Just a question its a slip on right, so there is still some scope to get better sound with full system, is it so?

How much arrow (slip-on) cost you?

Thanks man.. Yes, this is a slip-on. Unfortunately, a full system is only available for Daytona.

The exhaust costed around 35k and 2.5k was labour plus ECU remapping cost.

By the way, I by mistake missed the best part. I've a lot more top-end now. Did 233kmph on this beast yesterday at Krishnagiri - Ambur highway.

Congratulations on ur STR

I have booked a red STR 2014 model

Awaiting for it's delivery which is bound in the month of November

The dealer gave me a test drive of the STR fitted with arrow slip on

It sounds soo bassy and the whistling sound still stays even after the slip-on change

But it wasn't that loud for my taste
Personal opinion
There ain't much difference between stock and arrow
Except a little louder than stock
That's what I felt


And regarding the remap
The service people provided the remap for free or 2.5k was taken for the remap
??

233 km/hr ?? :-0

I thought the top speed was only 220 or such

How did u feel the bikes stability at that speed
Can u give some feedback on the wind blast and stability of the bike at such speeds ?

Congrats on your purchase. I think you meant 2015 model?

If you just want more sound, competition werkes is a good exhaust. I'll get it after I complete 2 years of warranty . 2.5k included both labour charges for assembling the exhaust and remapping.

With the stock exhaust and ECU map, I wasn't able to go past 218 kmph no matter how hard I tried but this arrow exhaust plus new remap is nice. . I think that's probably the fastest I'll ever go on a Street with normal fuel. (I was on Shell Super full tank when I did that speed). Wind blast is significant, being in tucked-in position definitely helps. You can't do 180+ kmph speeds for long periods of time but for 10-15 minutes at a stretch, it's fine.

But the triumph dealer said the warranty will be void if u install any other exhaust except arrow
And I didn't like arrows sound
So thinking what to do
I don't want to void the warranty

Have u fitted the fly screen ?
I hope it might help a bit in the wind blast
Even though not totally atleast a bit considering the STR a naked bike

Yes, that's the reason I installed Arrow. At least, enjoy something which is better than stock and doesn't void the warranty. Once I'm done with warranty, I'll change that too.

I've ordered the flyscreen and bellypan. Triumph dealership is yet to recieve the shipment.

233 is absolutely awesome improvement. I was able to manage around 210, but always felt like it can go over 220. I am now very much tempted to go for the upgrade, will have it installed by early next week.
