re: My Honda CBR650F. EDIT: Track Day at BIC on PG-53

rachitkdogra 3100 for the first service is very economical. N650 first service I had paid 3725 back in 2012. I could n't help but notice that they added some oil which costs 580 bucks and quantity is around 3L. Which oil are they using?

P.S. First free service is good to see.

I agree. It was a pleasant surprise. My friend got a Ninja 650 just one day before my CBR came. He paid around 4000-4500 for his first service I think.

Yup, that is the engine oil. They put fully synthetic 10W30 engine oil of brand called throttle. Throttle I think is Honda's own brand.

Correct bro. Thanks. They are giving first 3 services free.

Maybe they are trying to give back to the customers the extra premium that they charged when selling the bike.

Congrats Man !

For me this is high priced bike 650cc Inline at 8L+ is something need to think again.

And Yes Ninja 650 & Benelli 600i/GT is great buy today if one is looking toward the i600cc bike.

PLease ride your bike to length and breath of India, Else Sports Tourer won't make any sense with 8L+ price.

People buy bike and only ride on breakfast rides on weekends, hardly ride for any touring. I don't get it how much fun do they get only riding on weekends with 10L-18L bikes ??

Yes Sports Tourer are relaxed and can be used on short to long rides.

Do ride longer and post your t_logs for us to read.

I totally agree with putting the tourer to good use. It's amusing to see many spending such hefty amount and just going for breakfast rides, get back home n put the beast in freezer till next weekend ride to same restaurants

What a lovely bike rachit bro.
My hearty congratulations.
Faired, inline 4 , a good pillion seat, sufficient power what more can you ask for.
Hope the cbr serves you well for countless miles ahead.
Nice to read that you had a pleasant & economical 1st service experience.
3 free services is a nice initiative from honda.
The bill mentioned the 10w30 oil. I Am a bit apprehensive about it. My apache's stock tvs oil is 10w30. I think all superbikes use w40 or w50 oil because quite a lot of heat is generated & a w30 might not be much effective as w40/50 oil from motul or shell which other superbikes use.

Its not much honestly. They said labour would have around 1800 bucks so you are right about 9000 savings in a year.
Still a nice gesture in my opinion. Financially it does not make a big difference.

Congrats again dude for getting the bike.
And great writeup as well. and very nice pointers for people who think riding a superbike is same as riding out normal bikes.

Enjoy the ride.

re: My Honda CBR650F. EDIT: Track Day at BIC on PG-53

I have been riding Fire blade ( Honda CBR 1000 RR ) since2013 HRC edition.
Back then I remember the countless days and sleeplessnights I had to wait for the delivery of my bike. Finally on 8th Feb 2013 I gotthe delivery and I still own it. It's a lovely machine there is no doubt about it.

It falls in Super sport or hyper sport category whichmakes it fun to ride and made for the speed demons inside you but it also comeswith its shortcomings mainly comfort level.

We all agree that it's not made for the purpose ofcomfort its basically for track and sport, this when I realised I also need somethingwhich is more comfortable yet powerful and at the same time reliable.

In between these years I also bought Kawasaki Z1000 whichis superb bike but I had to let it go because the suspension on it was toostiff and somehow I felt the throttle was way too quick for me.

The quest began to search for the best bike tat I coulddo weekend rides and some fun rides and some long rides.

The first machine tat I saw was Triumph street triple, lovely engine and amazing built quality but somehow I never liked the looks ofit specially those head lights.

Then I saw the tiger...ahhhh...not my kinds so forgetabout it.

Yet again Kawasaki and I rode the 650 of a friend of mine...verycomfortable and smooth but was lacking the oomph factor so that was also out ofoption.

Finally I heard the news about the 650f and at firstsight I was in love with it. Everything just seemed perfect. Looks, power, engine, transmission, comfort level etc. it just looked and seemed perfect to me but I waswanting to get a test ride and after waiting for a long time the bike arrivedat Dugar Honda Kolkata.

I met Mr.Rishabh Dugar on my first visit at the showroom.A very nice guy and gem of a person. He handed over the keys and asked me togot a test ride immediately ( note I had taken my blade to their showroom ).

WHoaaaaa...loved it...everything was spot on andeverything that I wanted was in it and finally I took the decision and bookedit and on 24th of September I got the delivery.

2. The horn switch and the turn indicator switch ispositioned in a different way. Takes some time to get use to it.
