re: My Honda CBR650F. EDIT: Track Day at BIC on PG-53
Sounds really lovely, its as if the bike is alive only now... And about more smoothness, do u feel a better eagerness in the bike, from what I've seen n read from reviews the low end on the stock CBR 650 is not as quick as the other 600s in the same category having said it is obviously an inline 4 n the power is in the top end, do you feel any major differences? Do keep updating on the longer term use, and bike looks really neat with the fender eliminator.Originally posted by rachitkdogra View Post

Yup the fender eliminator does wonders to its looks.
The bike does feel more eager, not by leaps and bounds but it does feel more eager.
The problem with exhausts is that sometimes the louder exhaust fools your mind into believing you are going faster when you are not. But it does feel more eager.
I don't think any substantial power gains happen. I have seen the torque curve posted by Akra. Its 3.6 BHP gain at peak RPM. Lower down the range its around 1-2 BHP which is not much. Same for the torque. But honestly, beyond numbers it gives the feeling of more eager and the sense of speed is more so going through the revs gives more satisfaction. Earlier even high speeds didn't feel any special because it did it so fuss free. Now you get more experience out of it.

Congrats! This completes the package.Originally posted by rachitkdogra View PostSo after a lot of thought, reading and research, I had finally decided to get the Akra for the bike.
Can you share how much did just the Akra cost you alone?
Also, I have seen that aftermarket exhausts, be it IXIL or Akra run the bike a bit rich (from the exhaust release gases on medium to high revs)!Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!

I feel the need of exhaust in ur bike is vital, with the uncertain traffic conditions we got here In India, a louder exhaust can only help in my opinion, as divya has also said the air fuel ratios must be right in all Rev ranges, try to run ur bike on a dyno n seeOriginally posted by rachitkdogra View PostThanks bro.

The exhaust costed me 953$. Which with all the extra charges put by credit card companies for International Transaction and all comes around to be 66K.
In India it retails for around 76K.
It is possible. Not completely sure if this one does it. It has been only a couple of days so cannot confirm if it releases gases in mid to high revs.
Although, I kind of feel a bit rich is not bad in our hot conditions? Maybe? Not really technically hands on enough to be sure. Although from what I have heard a bit richer is generally not that bad.

I don't think there are any bike Dynos in Delhi bro.

re: My Honda CBR650F. EDIT: Track Day at BIC on PG-53
Congrats on the Akra. Did you buy the optional CAT?
Also, is that the single outlet? The quad outlet is for the street use, the single is for the track. The quad is the only one that can use the optional cat.
Its the other way around. No 600 Supersport has any juice below 6k rpm. They all have to be revved way higher than 7-8k to get them going fast enough. The 650 picks up from as low as 3k rpm to redline.Originally posted by Deathwing View Postfrom what I've seen n read from reviews the low end on the stock CBR 650 is not as quick as the other 600s in the same category having said it is obviously an inline 4 n the power is in the top end
Hence why the 650 was built with a much lower redline than the 600 SS bikes.Last edited by Nithesh; 05-20-2016, 09:55 PM.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

This is the single outlet one. I didn't knew that there were any differences between the both except for looks. I even checked it with Revzilla guys and they also said its only the looks. Not sure what is correct. I didn't get the optional Cat Con.
Yes you are absolutely right here. CBR650F is torquer low down than the super sport one's.Originally posted by Nithesh View PostIts the other way around. No 600 Supersport has any juice below 6k rpm. One owner at the forums said he was in regular touch with Akra guys via mail and they told him that the quad outlet was the one that can take in the optional CAT and it was generally what they sold for street use.Originally posted by rachitkdogra View PostThanks bro!!

The quad outlet one sells at $1100+ while the single outlet sells for $900+ on Revzilla. I think Indian importers sell the quad exhaust for 10k more as you mentioned up there ^Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

re: My Honda CBR650F. EDIT: Track Day at BIC on PG-53
Congrats Rachit. The Akra is a wonderful addition. Sounds lovely as couple of my friends in Bangalore have the same exhaust.
Here are couple of snaps along with Touring Screen. Apart from R&G Radiator Guard and Frame Sliders, I added Puig Touring Screen recently. This has reduced the wind blast considerably and can achieve higher speeds. This has made me poorer by 9K INR.
By the way, Completed by 2nd service and the SC experience was wonderful. Costed INR 1990. I am happy that Honda service cost is way below when compared to others.

Thank you. The feedback is very good. Absolutely no issues till date. Just regular servicing. One guy has already clocked 14k and the feedback from him is also very positive. Till now in Bangalore Honda has sold 22 CBR's.Originally posted by rachitkdogra View PostLovely Pics man!! Good to hear that you are putting some good miles on her!! How is your overall feedback?
