https://youtu.be/0-Nt-LJy9E4. I came across this video sometime back of the cb 650f . I wonder why doesn't Honda release this bike like what Kawasaki did with er6f and er6n.Originally posted by rachitkdogra View Post

My understanding is because of India's love for faired bikes. Plus if they launch the naked version, it will still be priced pretty close to Z800 and it has nothing over Z800.Originally posted by Deathwing View Posthttps://youtu.be/0-Nt-LJy9E4. The faired one still has the fairing over the Z800.

The fairing is definitely going to cost a lakh , soo if its priced at 6.5-7lakhs would be good.Originally posted by rachitkdogra View PostMy understanding is because of India's love for faired bikes. If it does end up getting priced a lakh lesser than the CBR5650F, it definitely will be a worthy contender.Originally posted by Deathwing View PostThe fairing is definitely going to cost a lakh , soo if its priced at 6.5-7lakhs would be good.
What to me will be a really good bike from Honda's stable for India is the CBR500. If priced right, it offers a very good balance between 300-400 CC and than the 650-800 CCs. It is a sweet spot which offers everyday practicality, Fast highway touring and than if required maybe a Spiti ride too.

Soo true, the CBR 500r looks like it bridges the gap between the 250r and 650f, again all this comes to crucial pricing if Honda...if its priced at 3-4 lakhs it could outdo the n300 n r3.. My only worry is the rev limiter, the revs are cut off at 8500 rpm, would like a more meatier rev range ,also the 2016 model looks really really good compared to the previous model.Originally posted by rachitkdogra View PostIf it does end up getting priced a lakh lesser than the CBR5650F, it definitely will be a worthy contender.

Yup, the new one really looks very nice and sporty and would go really well with Indians.Originally posted by Deathwing View PostSoo true, the CBR 500r looks like it bridges the gap between the 250r and 650f, again all this comes to crucial pricing if Honda...if its priced at 3-4 lakhs it could outdo the n300 n r3.. The bike is going good. Its pretty practical.Originally posted by Deathwing View PostHow's ur ceeber running? How many km have you done on her? Do u commute on her occasionally? How's the engine heating in these summer conditions?
I just completed 5000 Kms last weekend.
My commute to office is very short. Wouldn't even count as a ride so I don't take her to office.
Mostly weekend rides.
The bike does get hot in slow traffic or long traffic lights. It might not burn you, but you will know that it is heating up.
Although I have not seen the High Temp light glowing till now.

Within City mostly around 21-23. The one time I took it to highway, it came out around 25-26 KMPL.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostTypical Hindustani people question, how much it give for a tank range.
The tank is 17.1 liters
I did manage around 28 one time which involved very sedate highway riding.

re: My Honda CBR650F. EDIT: Track Day at BIC on PG-53
I don't think its about the speed. Its mostly about traffic or how fast you are trying to accelerate. Let us just say that I am getting used to using the throttle more liberally out of traffic lights.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostWithin what speed your ride inside city. These bikes would not mind cruising at lets say 120 or so and would return better efficiency in those scenarios. Its mostly accelerating and braking and then accelerating that takes a toll on efficiency.
Plus many times I take it out in the evening when there is a lot of traffic so that also effects the overall consumption.
CHEERS!!

re: My Honda CBR650F. EDIT: Track Day at BIC on PG-53
Those are some really impressive figures there rachit, I remember u gave me lower figures way back but this must have been before the engine was completely seasoned. Do keep updating on these figures n the bike, any advances on the exhaust ? U were considering a change right? Coming to understand its not possible to put a slip on unless you cut the mouth pipe from the catalytic chamber n weld the slip on pipe on the stock chamber, correct me if I'm wrong
