The looks are ruined with all the tapes but the overall integrity seems to be holding fine so far. Trust me, until you change your helmet to a flat front version (an impossible find), you can't rely on the curvy adhesive mounts. These are best fit only for the top region.
Hey brother,

My research and discussion with other people have also sort of resulted in the same things you highlighted.
Well, I will try to do some DIY workaround for the chin mount. Let us hope it works. Keeping fingers crossed.

This gopro mounting thing keeps evading me.
Hoping for a better luck this time.

Thank you. Will keep you posted.

So finally I was able to get the GoPro thing to work. I have made a short walk around and some exhaust clips. One issue that I am facing now is wind noise. Gopro catches a lot of wind noise. Trying to figure out ways to reduce them in post processing.

My friend had a chin mount go pro and he used a casing to reduce the wind noise, His name is Shashank. I have tagged him, hopefully he should see this or you can PM him

If you want to reduce wind noise, you need to put the mic in your helmet.
Video editing software allow easy sync of audio streams.
I always use a good mic to record audio within the helmet and use the cam audio to sync the audio.

Hey,

Thank you. The problems that I could not find enough time to research is, if you use the Gopro in the casing, there is no place to sort of enter a MIC cable through the casing.

Thanks

This past weekend, we made the throttle even quicker by putting in a thicker Zip Tie. Also since last 2 tank ups I have been using the Speed 97 on the bike. Boy o boy has this made a difference in the bike. With the speed the bike even sounds a bit different, louder to be precise. The throttle response is much sharper and there is a definite increase in the urgency.

This time the quick throttle has had a significant change in the way bike feels. I would not say perform because technically it is not changing the performance, but its mostly the feel. The difference was such that I will have to readjust myself to this new setting. I observed I had to use a lot more brakes than I generally do. Overall the bike has become quite fun and I don't sort of wish for a 1000 that much after these changes. I will have to be conscious while coming out of corners because since the throttle has become sharper, I will have re calibrate and get used to this new setting.

But overall very happy with these 2 changes and the excitement to ride is back to its prime again.

CHEERS!!

Good the hear everything, Honda do keep its buyer happy. How do you feel it is for long run . I mean keeping it for a long time? Does the parts ask for replacement? Whats the average service cost?

Well, it is too early to comment. As of now things feel well built.
From my discussions with the Honda people, they do believe that Honda parts can last longer than others but than, that is a Honda employee speaking.
Lets see how it goes with me. So far so good.

Since CBR650F has first 3 services free, the average service cost for the 1st year reported by me and other people is around Rs 3200 which is the lowest of all big bikes from what I know.
After the 1st year I am told to expect around 4-6K which seems comparable to others in this category.

Completed my 3rd service recently and bill was around INR 1250 excluding oil. This time I carried my own oil i.e. Motul 300v 10w40. Got it for INR 680 per liter on amazon sale. Bike is performing excellently as usual.

Attaching couple of snaps from last weekend ride.

Lovely pictures.

Did I read 1250 ? For real ?

The bike cots north of 8L but the maintenance is pocket free!!!

Hey Shashank,

This does not include oil which is around INR 680 per liter. Oil was supplied by me. The bike consumes 2.9 liters of oil. So totally it comes to around INR 3200 for 3rd service.

Thanks,

I dont mean to compare.

I own a Benelli TNT 300..

INR 3200 for 3rd service is half of how much I paid

May be that's because we have 3 free services. From next service onwards we are expecting to be around INR 5000.
