Yeah I heard a couple more bikes but didn't see them. I was on a red and silver CBR 250 with a jacket. Did you have a helmet on? I have a faint memory of a tired looking face. [emoji6]Originally posted by forcooler View Post

Hahaha.. shame I didn't spot you though.
I probably did have my helmet on unless i was off the bike ..it was the 2nd last day of the trip and we'd been battling Kerala highway traffic from Cherai since morning riding to Mysore/Blr, Conversely, it could've just been my new helmet which has been squeezing my face into a melon :P. The route was worth it though.

Hey Congratulations!! Will await your ownership thread.Originally posted by FZERIDER View PostHey,
Thank you for your response.
I went ahead and bought a CBR650F . Its been a week. I just had to lower the clutch lever and brake lever positions little down and it worked , no wrist pains. And also the cat con doesn't scrape if i go over speedbreakers slowly. Rest the bike is amazing. I enjoy the smoothness but the inline 4 symphony seems subdued so a full system exhaust is on the list. Apart from that i hear a little buzz from engine on slow speeds , dont know what it is . Have to show it to the service centre guys. Brakes are amazing. Feedback from the suspension is amazing. I used to ride a Ninja 300, compared to that its a very comfortable bike. Tyres give more than decent grip.
Overall feels i made a good decision. All thanks to this thread and members, it contributed a lot.
Cheers
If you do plan for an exhaust upgrade, my recommendation is go for Akra only.
I also have nothing much to complain on the Dry grip of OEM tyres. I have not seen anything better maybe because of that.
Wishing you many happy miles with her brother!!

Hi Rachit,
Thanks for sharing all of this useful information. It has definitely helped me come to a decision. I am going to book the bike in the coming few weeks, and although I am stretching my budget for this, I hope its worth it.
Could you also please respond to the PM i sent to you?
Thanks a lot again, for sharing your ownership experience.

re: My Honda CBR650F. EDIT: Track Day at BIC on PG-53
Went ahead and changed the tyres to Metzeler M7 RR. Also changed the Air filter and Front brake pads. Rear brake pads will last for another 3-4K kms.
Although Air filter change is recommended at 18K kms, I don't think it can hold that long due to dusty conditions. The condition of filter was very bad.
Going for 1000+ kms ride this weekend (Kodaikanal and Aliyar dam) and I should be able to comment on tires after that.
Total bill was INR 8727, the highest I paid till now by some margin.

The tyres do look good and they have moved to the top of my list now.
So from what I got, brake pads were 6200 and Air Filter was 300?
I think a wise decision to get the Air Filter changed considering its not very expensive.
Eagerly awaiting your feedback on the tyres. I checked and the M7 has some really good reviews.

Yup, brake pads were 6200 for 2 sets (Front has 2 sets and rear 1) and Air filter is 650 (First item in the bill). 300 is for labour charge.
Will let you know the feedback as soon as I am back.
Take care and have fun.

Rakesh

re: My Honda CBR650F. EDIT: Track Day at BIC on PG-53
Came back from 900+ kms weekend ride to Kodai after changing my tyres to Metzeler Sportec M7 RR. ODO stands at 15K.
It's an amazing tyre for sport riding style. Drove on curvy roads, bad roads, roads with full gravel etc and never had any oops moment. These tyres are a great confidence booster. My confidence on leaning has never been this high. They stick to the tarmac like crazy. I am very happy that I went with M7. They grip very well. But never had opportunity to test in wet conditions.
On the negative side, people say this might not last long when compared to Pirelli GT, but who cares when you are getting this much fun in cornering
. I am expecting a life of around 12-13K kms on M7 on a regular highway rides.
Folks who are looking for upgrade, just buy this piece of tyre. Amazing.
Thanjs,
Rakesh

This makes it very attractive package.

Yes you are right. This offer is only to clear the old stock. 2017 manufactured bikes will have the same original price tag. Got the confirmation from dealer here in Bangalore.Originally posted by nits2507 View PostThis might have been done to clear out the stocks as the 2017 model is expected very soon
